Just a short history -- I discovered game since 2 years ago, and I've went from being a socially-unaware, fat, and awkward introvert... to a cocky, mysterious, and spontaneous man as of earlier this year For instance, I have no problem challenging social "boundaries" now and in fact, I get a bit of a thrill every time I do something that's outside the norm, such as jumping on a cable car with strangers inside, saying Hi to strangers, or doing pushups in the middle of the library. I kinda just see it as no big deal, and do it for the lols (I enjoy seeing people's shocked reaction somehow). Emphasis: I did this for fun, and enjoyed the thrill.

Earlier this year, sometime in June, things started to draw my attention and away from "pickup". For starters, my "wingman" and I had a fallout. For other reasons, I decided to focus on more important things in life.

"Focus" itself has always been a struggle for me (I might have ADHD), and I decided that in order to improve myself as a man, I must embark on a whole new realm of self-improvement that involved meditation, stoicism, fitness and academics. Because of this shift in priorities , naturally other aspects of my life began to get less attention, such as my fashion sense (still acceptable and better than most people, plus I live on campus so who gives a damn), and most importantly, my social circle.

Long story short: In order to pursue my priorities/goals, I naturally began to isolate myself from my social circle.

Now obviously, I regret none of it -- I made progress, I've become a better man from this, and I've been more productive in the past few months than I have my entire life.

However, I've also become a different man from this. In practicing meditation and stoicism, I went from an already chillax and carefree guy, to a man that genuinely gives no shit, and is completely detached from his emotions (and to a certain extent, have zero regard for social cues). I'm not sure many could relate, but I'm not sure if I'm even attracted to women anymore (they don't seem to be a worthwhile pursuit when my time could be better spent inventing something or working on my career). In fact, I'm not even sure if most people are worthwhile (they add minimal benefit to my life -- time that could be spent bantering, partying, and gossiping, is better spent lifting weights and sculpting my body).

I've essentially became a monk.

Funny thing is, it's what I've always wanted and dreamed of -- the aspect of optimizing productivity and efficiency, to fulfill my optimal potential. I am very content and happy with the progress I'm making.

But at the same time, this disconnect makes me seem almost cold, lonerish, selfish, and antisocial.

I'm aware of this today when two girls approached me, and I realized I couldn't even carry a conversation with them without already losing interest. For instance, a girl approached me in between lectures, while I was on my way to the toilet, and I gave the shortest, lamest, blandest, and most half-assed answers because my mind was totally still focused on the lecture, still digesting the material and the content in my head. Another girl approached me as I was on my way from the gym to my dorm (she was across the street and had to shout). It was at night, and she said "I almost didn't recognize you!". I instinctively said "yeah" and smiled. And that was it! That was it, folks. I just put my earphones back on and continued walking straight ahead, because the music I was listening to was more important, the thoughts in my mind were more important...

If it were me eight months ago, I'll realize that this girl opened me, rewarded her for it (pull), show clear sexual intent (e.g. "geez I know I just got back from the gym but my eyes are up here babe"), etc etc. I would've capitalized on every opportunity, I would've treasured each and every see -- make it as smooth as I can -- especially when a girl opens me.

Now that my priorities change, I'm completely different. It's almost like unless I'm going to an event/activity specifically to socialize, I wouldn't want to be interrupted in the middle of a lecture, in the middle of my gym session, or in the middle of me being productive. If I'm in the library studying, and a cute girl gives me IOIs, it almost became an instinct (trained via meditation) to dismiss the distraction and focus on the task at hand. I'm very goal-oriented, and this is awesome and precisely what I wanted to improve on with meditation and stoicism, but at the same time, I can no longer have the flexibility to multitask (e.g. talk to cute girls while focusing on the lecture, socialize while listening to music, etc).

Yes I have the DGAF mentality down. Yes I have abundance mentality down (I actually no longer feel "validated" or "precious" when a girl opens me, it's become the norm). Yes I have stoicism down. And most importantly, yes I have my goals/mission/passions/discipline and lifestyle in order. But at the same time, I feel a strong disconnect from the world. It's became an instinct for me to shut people out. And that sucks.

I seek advice from you fellas. I don't think I'll ever compromise my focus/lifestyle, but at the same time, I think there is a better frame of mind to come from when approaching this, a better mindset to have when interacting people (without sacrificing my precious focus and time and energy away from my goals).

TL;DR Earlier this year, decided to shift my focus away from seduction, and on other self-improvement goals: especially meditation (to improve focus). In doing so, I have hyperfocus when working on projects and could finally maximize my productivity and efficiency. On the other hand, this rigidity makes it impossible to multitask (e.g. don't want to be distracted, even by a cute girl, when I'm in class; instinctively isolate myself to focus on task at hand). What do?
