It has to be funnier than it is harsh
It has to be done first and foremost to create laughter that you share together. Not to put her down. No insults, period. Some of the old "negs" from PUA were both corny and just piss women off, like commenting about her nails, hair and body with the undertone that it may be a slight. Looking back, my ex-wife pretty much used "negs" in a negative way as digs and I put up with them then because she was really hot. Don't try to be an asshole because you think it oozes confidence or will make you look like an anti-nice guy.

You could be rude sometime and get away with it. Some girls even like that because whole world lies at their feet their whole life if they are pretty enough so now you are different.

But there is very thin line between being flirty mean / rude and being straight asshole. And noone like assholes.
