My wife and I separated finances (unofficially) last year. She makes a lot of $ but has unstable job situation and loves running up $200k in credit card debt no problem.

Have one kid left in college. Live in HCOL area. Hoping to time my retirement around me getting early retirement. With her income and equity in house, it was doable. My target was in sight.

Now I found out she lost her job. I’m terrified of the looming credit card debt. Now what do I do? File now, or try to ride this out until she gets a job (hopefully). She doesn’t want to sell the house which I can’t afford without her income. I feel fucked due to my delays
