Modern women simply aren't wife material. Unless you are a top G and she has natural unwavering desire (extremely rare), most husbands simply represent the safe choice that she eventually settled with after having had her fun or been ran through by a bunch of other dudes.

It's because the position of a "wife" has been degraded and largely looked down upon for many years now.

For instance, hiring managers don't hire married women because they think that said women will have less time to work or will get pregnant and be unavailable, on top of taking company resources via parental leave and maternity benefits.

Men tend to treat wives like trophies that they get to dress up and compare to the wives of other men. Look at Veblen's conspicous consumption and what it has to say about men projecting class based on the kinds of dresses and clubs they can afford for their wives.

Being a wife tends to reduce a woman's bargaining power as she not only often has to care for a child (reducing the time she can work thereby creating a gap between her and the husband, who statistically won't be as present as her in childcare) but is also socially expected to be the one handling the emotional and affective burdens of the household.

-tangent for the wage gap-: A non-adjusted measure for calculating the gap tends to consider hourly wage vs hourly wage. This is erroneous as it does not consider discrimination in the workplace, social perceptions about women's capabilities, the pressure childcare puts on work...which women tend to carry more than men, and part time work being dominated by women because they often have to do household and care tasks ON TOP of work meaning they work less because their time is constrained while men statistically do more overtime because they are not burdened similarly.

If a woman marries a rich man everyone thinks she is a gold-digger, vs a man marrying a rich woman being seen as smart/has rizz (double-standards)

The idea of a housewife as "doing nothing" and the obfuscation of the value of what they do because it's not traditional market work, compared to the husband doing traditional employment. Think about it...why is the husband more valued for paid work while the wife who does care work is not valued as much? Is it because care work is not as valuable as paid work even when it socially reproduces the worker or is it simply ignored or seen as an inherent entitlement the way one can expect oxygen when they breathe?

So... I would not say it is something as simple as feminism being bad. Rather, feminism is making the factors above visible and putting them up for consideration, where a traditional generation would have swept them under the rug and ignored them. Taking everything into account, it has more to do with the way society has largely demeaned, obfuscated, and treated the wife as a subordinate or lesser role, making women not want to carry it as well as a man whose marital status reflects the opposite (ie a married man is superior because they fck and are validated by the fact that they can pull someone vs a woman who is seen as everything above).

I am speaking from a largely political-economic academic rendition of feminism, so a stray Twitter comment probably does not represent my perceptions on feminism. But just some things for consideration.

do ya'll want women to marry or not? i'm getting mixed signals here because a lot of the posts literally oppose marriage and act like women are leeches so why would a woman want to be seen like that and want to marry a man?
