Teaching yourself Braille so you can read three books at once (four, if you count audiobooks). Running a four-minute mile. Buying a handful of 2X4s, building an onager, and lobbing water balloons at squirrels. Debating whether a standard catapult would be more accurate, realizing you'd need more (and more stationary) targets, and creating a one-man siege engine bowling league.

There's a LOT more to life than work and romance.

By definition, far left and far right are small minorities. So no, far left and far right aren’t the only options. Statistically speaking, the largest group of men and women in America don’t vote at around 40%, and then around 30% lean left and 30% lean right. Of this 60% of people who vote, a small group would be considered to be far left or far right, with the heavy majority simply leaning in one direction or the other. You’re projecting your own flawed politics onto women.

In reality, a pretty heavy majority of households with two or more people require two incomes. Since we’re speaking in generalities anyways, my guess is that left leaning women are likely to be a bit more forgiving if the incomes are skewed towards the woman making more, but will be much less forgiving when it comes to a man refusing to relax traditional gender roles and do things like run errands and cook dinner and so on, provided he has a less demanding career.

Anyway, yes, your hyperbole aside, it's really difficult. It's good to know what you really want and need from a relationship (as well as what you're willing and able to give), so you don't waste too much energy on things that turn out badly. That can keep you from imploding until you hopefully find "the one."

Can you explain this better? I sincerely don’t understand what you are talking about. Why do you think you are supposed to “win”? Do you think you are responsible for bringing anything to the table besides earning money, or do you think men are supposed to be taken care of by a woman devoted to the cause? Has any woman tried to use you for money? There are plenty of women who are not going to be compatible, there absolutely are people who are out to take advantage of people but the bulk of the women I know are really looking for someone to hang out with. Someone who they like, that checks in on them, and pays attention and cares about what is going on in their life. If you are only meeting women who are asking you for money, then you need to start looking in different places and in different ways. I know that the far left and the far right are loud, but they are the fringe, most people are closer to the middle. I also know that it is discouraging and hard to keep looking when things havent gone how you want but the math says you are going to need to try a lot of times before finding a match, if that’s what you decide you want. I like having a girlfriend, been single plenty, years and years, had dry spells or intentionally taken breaks, but having a girlfriend that smells good and lets me see her naked squeeze her butt is awesome. She has a job, earns a better salary than me, I have a job and we see each other when we want. She pays at least half the time, probably more. That exists. Whatever you are observing to come to your conclusions needs to be expanded to include people in successful relationships
