Ah yes.. because people only every tell the absolute truth and would NEVER lie about serious matters like "Rape" or "Abuse" right?
Ergo every single accusation is to be taken at face value of being 10000000% true with no evidence required.

Any man who shows up on this website is to be classified as an "Abuser" or "Rapist" and cancelled..

Now, i'm not against safety.. but the problem here is.. safety can not come at the cost of innocent men being labeled as "Rapists" or "Abusers"..

But in our current social climate the view is that apparently its now acceptable to tarnish men anonymously and without the ability to defend themselves...
Oh and of course.. any man who finds out and publicly tries to defend himself is apparently "Snitching" on himself because if a man is innocent apparently he should have no issue with being falsely accused of these disgusting crimes right?

In fact, a while back I made one on the infamous ‘Tea’ app. I used the pictures and some information, most of it false of course, of my godfather. I said that I had recently gone in my first date with him, it had been great, and that if anyone else in the app knew him. The results…at least TEN women claiming that they had gone on dates with him in the past and that he had been rude, nonchalant, stingy, and even violent. One of them even claimed to have been his ex FIANCÉ that left him after she caught him cheating with her best friend.

Y’all wanna know the best part? My godfather, is 68 years old, living in a communist dictatorship stuck in the late 1950s, and hasn’t even had a one night stand since he tried to escape illegally to the U.S and got thrown in prison after getting caught.

So, the namehim.io was particularly bad one. You could register with a false email, with no email verification. You could then enter a name, city and state of an individual and then select a checkbox of "rapist", "abuser", "neglect" etc etc.

And thats it. You're on the list.

NO verification of the alledged "crimes". NO crime number. NO offical records linked.

Just your name on this list with no way to challenge or remove it at all.

IF you find out you've been put on this list in the first place.

Why doesnt someone just make a database for convicted people? Also the maker of the site said he wouldn't take names down or block names, but then blocked names and took the whole site down after he and his family got put into it. I was watching the site pretty close while it was up becuase the people messing with it were kind of funny. He posted on insta saying "im not taking my name down" then the next morning his name was gone... like dude stand by what you say

I saw my friends name on there, I’m 99% sure it’s from one girl who falsely accused at least 2 men of SA. When I say falsely accused, I don’t take that lightly, I mean I was at a party where this girl was chasing around 2 men grabbing at them begging for them to have sex with her and they refused, she then told everyone those 2 were trying to SA her all night.

I’m terrified of my name popping up there, I have never even thought of doing something like that to someone, but I’ve had unpleasant experiences with women that could be embarrassing for them, and I worry they would do this out of spite.

This disappointed me to read. I was abused by someone for 6 months and I quickly went to report their name in the website only to find it was gone. I wasn’t the first woman he abused and I surely won’t be the last. Being raped and beat for 6 months straight then stalked for years after I left… I wish I’d been warned. Me and the other girls he abused are friends and we talk from time to time when things get heavy. So while all of you are worried about men’s rights when it comes to false reporting… i understand that does happen. Absolutely there are vindictive and vile women in the world. I namedhim a few days back. My daughters only told us about it a few years back (in their 40's now) only because we were going to move there. They've been made to feel like he's still family, and he'd told them if anyone found out they'd have no place to live and he'd loose his job. Now he's collecting fat military pension. Both my daughters, and his own, however none ever reported it, nor wished to. The rage I feel inside will never go away, and I would have no problem doing so, if I could. And still highly respected by family members who say god says to forgive, and they won't choose sides in what he did, so they can remain close to him. I'd love for him to see his name there (not sure why someone would be looking for their name anyway, unless they were guilty, but anyway) and he might consider going after me for slander, but I know then his dirty secret would be out for all to see and would be official (and not just slander anymore, but now with proof), So I hope he did, and does. Then he won't be able to hide anymore. anywhere.

It was a bad idea from the start. First of all, there's at least 8 guys in my town with the exact first and last name as me. So if one of those 8+ gets named, all of them get to publically shamed and have their reputation ruined even if it was not aimed at them.

I don't disagree that something should be done to protect victims (and name abusers) but it has to be a system in place to protect innocent people. I don't have an answer on how to do it, this app is just not the way to do it.

If men don't want people knowing what they did, they shouldn't do it. If the law won't hold them accountable, the victims deserve a voice. Any abuser can deny their actions and scream "false allegation" and DARVO.
