you can't seem too eager. I know it feels like all of the pieces are falling in to place. Something similar happened to me: girl kept asking me to hang out, but it felt like there was this platonic wall. the 4th time we went on a picnic and found a secluded spot in the woods. had a great time just chatting and being close to each other, she would playfully punch me and she didn't pull back when I got something out of her hair, etc. But when I tried to hold her hand she'd always pull back, but didn't say anything. So I played it cool and pulled back a bit too, which drew her back in (see "push-pull methods").

We never made out, but at the end of that date she gave me a big hug at the end... I ended up not contacting her anymore because I don't like playing those sorts of games, and I had 3 other girls on tap, so I wasn't invested at all in this one. At some point you'll realize that if they're not willing to reciprocate, they're playing with you.

You are allowed to send a follow up text. "Did you still wanna meet up tonight?". Remember, you're a person whose time matters too, you don't have to just wait around.

Also it takes practice but learn how to distract yourself and not let your mind wander about what's going on with her.

It's kinda weird that a girl said she'll let you know whether she can make It or not and your primary feelings are to feel like a cuck. If she can't make it she can't, it's really not that deep if she wanted to say no she probably would've made some excuse. Keeping you on edge isn't to belittle you it's kinda weird you feel that way. I've been in your position before and usually it just takes a second prompt for them to reply with something like "hey, got a lil busy didn't get a chance to reply, I'm on for tonight!" I ain't even tryna come at you, but you really gotta work on your self esteem if that's how you view yourself after this situation. I'm a few years older than so take it more as a hard truth or advice. Girls respect when a guy has balls and just goes with his gut. If you want to ask her and you don't want to seem to pressuring just drop her a text and check. Otherwise spend the rest of your evening checking your phone. In my eyes those are your two options and the third is to clear your head of overthinking. Slow down and chill. She clearly likes initiative if you asked her for the walk and she agreed. Work on it from that angle

Honestly bro, she may or may not be hooking up with another guy for the night. University is pretty competitive and there many other guys hitting her. Plus from my experience in uni, girls typically explore all there options. If you guys haven’t slept or u haven’t escalated in the first for times you’ve met her, then she has no obligation to wait for u. And trust me, because I’ve noticed this countless times, the girls that seem the most obsessed with you initially are also the ones that lose interest the fastest. So you need to be moving fast but not needy. I recommend talking to other girls while you’re dealing with her. That way you’ll come off less needy and if she sees that other girls want you, she’ll want u even more

That's all. You said ok. She said she would hit you up. If she doesnt, you got your answer. Waiting sucks, but go live your life and sit with that feeling. The ball is in her court. There's not much else to it. Following up doesnt make sense. She will see it as desperate.

I don’t accept ‘maybe’ dates for this very reason. I tell her I consider her a no and I’ll find something (or someone) better to do.

You also told her that if she doesn’t hang out with you that you have nothing better to do than stay home and study. That’s pretty low value and indicates she doesn’t have competition. Either be vague about it, or tell her explicitly “i’m gonna get into some trouble 😈” or “I’m gonna hit up the bars”. You want her to feel like she is missing her window.

I’ve been in your shoes and was a studyholic in college. Some girls find that archetype attractive but it needs to be balanced with a social life.

Honestly, it’s not too late to fix this. Just tell her you are going out and to forget the walk entirely. Say she is welcome to join you at the bar.
