I finished work last night and decided to go for a few drinks with a couple friends at a bar. Were there just chilling and myself and one other friend go out to the smoking area for a smoke. There's a group of 5 guys and 2 chicks. One being very attractive the other just above average. Im sitting on a high stool(my back to the group) and I stand up for one second to grab my wallet from my back pocket to check something. The attractive chick straight just grabs my seat. I turn around and say "what? Your just gonna take my seat" in a bemused/funny tone. Her and her friend starts shouting right away like "be a gentleman let her sit down, we have heels on etc" I laugh and im like "nah, ill take that back..chivalry is dead, if you want a seat so bad ask one of the guys your with" right away one of the guys stands up like a hero and is like "its ok you can sit here" For a split second I can actually see a look of disgust in both girls faces. I laugh,take my seat back and say kinda condescendingly "there's your gentleman, you can leave us men alone now"

Throughout the whole night I can feel her looking at me from across the room, my friends were commenting on it and we were laughing and joking. Im up at the bar about 90mins later and she walks up next to me after having a bit more to drink. She says "why didnt you give me your seat awhile ago?" I give her a look like wtf and say "your still thinking about that, really?" and laugh. I say "since you brought it back up you can go ahead and get me a drink as an apology for being rude and disrespectful". She laughs, says ok..buys me a drink..we talk for abit and I end up bringing her back to mine.

Make of it what you will, its just an example of how women who are attractive have become accustomed to a certain behavior from a majority of men. By showing them an attitude and behavior they are not expecting it catches them off guard and makes them think.

Im sure people here could or would of done something differently or done it better but I just wanted to share incase there are any guys reading this sub who would of been the guy to get up and offered his seat.

Dont be that guy.
