The reverse gender test is a good metric for a lot of the stories here - would it be reasonable for this to happen to a man? Most of the stories here are legitimate, but never start taking them for granted.

That's why the occasional funny is allowed, and don't 'tone police' or anything. Stick around here too long, and you start making "all women" type statements that are patently untrue. There's a lot of rage involved in these matters, and rightfully so; but let's try and make it focused on the fucked up system and the way some little girls are raised to begin with.

A lot of us, however, are perfectly capable of thinking critically and rationally, and of being empathetic to men's causes even if they don't directly serve us. It's a human rights thing. Fuck the Oppression Olympics.

It might me stupid or insecure or any other term you want to throw at me, but honestly, when I hear women say that they fear men walking down the street for their potential ability to rape/harm them, all I can think of is their ability to fight back within the law.

Sure, rape is never ever acceptable. And suing a rapist will never change that. But, at least you can do something about it. If you're a man and a crime is committed against you by a woman, your legal recourse is almost non-existent. I fear for my liberty if a woman in my vicinity who happens to be slightly angry at me comes into any kind of physical harm, because it's so easy to pin it on me, and it seems like there is no burden of proof.
