Its up to you. If she asks a question I'd answer it. Just don't go out and try to have a conversation. If she makes a statement, send a brief reply. If you never respond to her texts she'll probably drop you. Just don't be needy in your replies, and don't unnecessarily initiate conversations.

What I usually do is respond to a few, but never really have the conversation. Responding to none makes it look like a conscious effort to ignore her. Almost having a conversation with her a few times makes it look like you've just got shit going on.

Ignore it, you're too busy, your phone is for business and logistics only. Why would you use your phone as a gossip machine. That's what women use them for. It's basically like a man carrying around a purse.

This is the one thing on TRP I tend to disagree with. Texting someone is case by case basis for me. If you have no intention on ever going any further than sex with her then yeah ignore and don't set that precedence. But I actually enjoy conversations over text if the other person doesn't suck at conversation. It can be a double edged sword though, while it can help build interest and keep her from flaking it can also over build anticipation if you've never really hung out before or you can say something that comes off poorly due to lack of tone in texting and shoot yourself in the foot. She also may be someone who has boy friends or more long term flings than a girl that just rides the CC at will and is used to always talking to her interest. RP book answer is to ignore or offer short replies but I feel this one is more of a judgement call.

Ignore. I just had the same situation. I was gaming a girl. We met up twice before my 2 week holiday. Was getting IOI's. She texted me while I was away. When I got back I texted I'm back. She replied in minutes: "Welcome back"!! I replied: "what's your schedule?" Nothing...then she texts to wish me a happy new year with photos including a cute one of herself. I suspect it's a kind of generic greeting so I wait, text back a ping: "Thx...wait...is that foul language?" Again no response.

Another example. Girl I met at party, started gaming. When I see her she is all friendly. She even took random photos of me, brought me drinks. When I suggested we meet up she went quiet.

So here's my kind of rule. Two attempts at meet up, then I drop it. If I see them I'm cool, polite, game them...but nothing about meeting up. Let them start chasing. Or if they don't it's fine too.

I did this several times and each time I stopped, they usually re-engaged and I would bang them.

The key is to not look like it matters. You're confused so you're reaching out to us here. Good. Don't let her sense that confusion. Girls like attention. If they don't have to work for it, you become an orbiter. If you flip the switch by reaching out, then suddenly going dark they start to wonder. If you say you've gone dark on purpose they get turned off. If they ask, you say "Busy" or make some joke: "I"ve been raising a baby shark in my bathtub, takes up a lot of my time these days..."

every third or fourth of her texts send a smirk or devil emoji in return, perhaps with some thinly disguised sexual innuendo. Do not discuss the relationship over text.

Probably means she's trying to keep up the contact to weasel her way into your life as soon as possible. The girl either likes you or you have something she wants.

You could play along as long as you keep up the "golden rule'. Keep the anticipation ramping up until she sees you and makes sure there are some gaps of silence.
