I'm a rather new addition to the MRM, and I have in the past few months become fascinated by the new information I've gathered and been exposed to, as well as the clear explanations for the those nagging doubts I'd harbored since I was a child. Much like my move to Atheism, this was something that started very early, with questions about set dogma in Catholicism and Gender roles if equality is the goal. In Atheism, I've recently seen it hijacked by this loud majority of people that seem less inclined to actual reflection and enlightenment and more skewed towards a constant "fuck you!" attitude to religion which is neither productive nor will it lead to Atheism being the ideology that actually follows it's base tenets. the MRM is sadly on the same path, at least from what I've recently seen. what we need is to be the rational, clam, logical movement that strives for equality of the sexes and recognition of men's legitimate concerns in today's society. what we can see is that this is slowly but surely being hijacked by misogynists that simply seek a more open forum to spout their idiocy and, if we as MRAs do nothing, we'll be no better than the radical feminists that we decry and end up engaging in our very own brand of "NAFALT" having to separate ourselves from the extremes.

There's important and legitimate issues that the MRM currently is trying to address, let's not turn it into circlejerk about how bad women are, or their hypocrisy, or how awesome we men are. we might as well call ourselves "SRSaboutmen" if we start down that road.

This of course, doesn't mean that we should soften the discourse to suit everyone or not try to confront the inaccuracy and hypocrisy and misanthropy that is currently taking hold in mainstream society.

what I'm suggesting is that we should be smart about it, and turn this sub-reddit into a haven for men's rights where legal and social advice is dispensed, where the top links are resources and opinions on what we can do to change society with our daily activities, otherwise the MRM will turn into a men's version of current feminism in a few years rather than decades.
