I've recently discovered that the Gym I go to has very different changing room layout for men and women. I did know some gyms did this but I didn't realize mine did until now.

Firstly the big difference is that the shower in the Male changing room is open plan, while the showers in the Womens changing room are Stalls. Also the womens changing room has dressing tables.

Anyway I've been thinking about this for a while now, and I wonder what it says about wider gender issues. I mean the gym is owned and managed by men. So are they just dealing with the fact that a huge chunk of women simply won't use open plan showers, or are they doing something else.

I just thought I'd put it up for discussion.

Oh and thank you r/MensRights for not banning me like r/askmen and R/sex have.
