It seems true to an extent. Relationships often start because the guy just likes you so much after sex, and you like him. However, Amy from that example must be an excellent judge of character, if the guys she knows for only a week all turn into 4-year relationships. Or she is so good she fits almost anybody. That's the only somewhat unrealistic part of the analysis. Because we aren't so good at knowing people in one week, easiness can be correlated with short relationships afterwards.

This is one man's view. I don't use partner count as the only way to reject a person. If I did that, might be rejecting an otherwise great person. If a person by age 30 has 20 partners, that's probably not a problem. If a person by age 30 has 100 partners, that might indicate a POSSIBLE problem. It's one red flag. If there are too many red flags I have to carefully weigh how well this person will do in an LTR.

If a person by age 30 has 20 partners, and a string of bad relationships, that's probably a problem. The root symptom is this girl has a problem with relationships, and the common denominator is her.

Summary: there are several much more important issues than partner count which determines a person's fitness for LTR.
