So for the past 4-5 months, I have been doing boing a bunch of bodyweight stuff and stretching (could never touch my toes, but now I can touch my palms to the ground so I'm proud of that) and then transitioned into adding calisthenics stuff.

Now my workouts mainly consisted of dumbbells and the calisthenic rings (with the goal of learning skills such as levers, flagpoles, handstands, muscleups etc).

My question is this, gyms finally re-opened in area so I started the Stronglifts 5x5 program, but it strongly is against adding any additional exercises as you will strain and fatigue yourself. I'm kind of at a dilemma because I obviously want to get bigger, but I also really want to learn those skills I mentioned above. Has anyone had success with doing both stronglifts (or squats, bench, deadlifts in general) while also doing calisthenics stuff? Atm I'm just starting up again so I'm lifting a lot lighter and can manage a 2nd workout in a day, but I feel like it will get a lot harder eventually.

TL;DR -> Stronglifts 5x5 AND calisthenics, possible or too much strain + not enough recovery?
