Women are more likely than men to be deterred from majoring in economics by not receiving an A in the introductory course. I wouldn't be surprised if the same held true for other demanding majors.

I think you're simplifying these conclusions a bit too much via confirmation bias. This is an extremely complex subject and there are simply too many factors to take into consideration to make the claim "women dumb, men smart".

Yes, it is true that the sciences are male dominated. Male IQ variance can probably be explained by simply stating that the upper tier of men go to college to study and most women go to college to find a provider. Why don't women go into sciences? I don't know, but I'm sure it is societies' fault.

The reason lower IQ men do not feel the need to attend college like lower IQ women do is because lower IQ men can make a decent living with manual labor, where as women cannot. This might explain the less useful majors being dominated by females.

That is my conclusion not found in evidence. I would love to see a study put together but I do not have the resources. My rhetoric will have to do.

Well to be fair most new female oriented fields have grown artificially and are basically a safety net for the average woman to get a college degree. They are designed to be idiot proof. So this sais more about how low quality these female orieted fields of "academia" actually are than inherent gender differences.

Regarding gender differences IQ was created to be as fair of a assesment as posible so to be credible it needed to minimise gender differences. Another case of being fair being more important than being accurate.

this does not correlate IQ to gender ratios in majors. this is a correlation of SAT scores to gender ratio. SAT scores are not necessarily a measure of intelligence or academic aptitude. it's a much better measure of how much time a student spent studying specifically for the SAT's.

Many students take classes that are designed specifically for the current SAT test. I took one of them, and it greatly improved my SAT scores by the end of it. does that mean that my IQ jumped up by 20 points over the course of that semester? fuck no! i just learned to take the damn test better. I saw some dumb people make good SAT scores because they studied their asses off for the test, and i saw lots of clearly intelligent people make bad SAT scores because they didn't study for it.

people who want to go into easier majors like social services do not have to worry about getting a high SAT score, so they don't prepare for it as rigorously as say, someone who wanted to study physics. what would be the point of gunning for a high SAT score if it wouldn't help your chosen career path?

quit circle jerking about how men are smarter than women on shoddy, incomplete info. it makes you look like a moron, it's fucking immature, and it's ultimately pointless because the best policy is to consider each person on a case-by-case basis. you know damn well that there are lots of women in this world who are smarter, more driven, and more able than you will ever be.
