Maybe I am biased, but no one has said lawyer. Its three years of extra school out of college, the loans suck, the bar exam sucks, the job sucks - for about 10 years. That is a long time.

But, if you want a job that literally has no limit in terms of income, and where the more alpha you are the better (again I have never seen somebody be too dominant, too assertive, too aggressive in my field) then law is the way to go. Even if you don't want to practice law, a J.D. is useful as fuck in business. The 3 years of law school are spend understanding logic in such a way that you really can't ever lose an argument - you can only disagree and have a reasonable but different interpretation of [insert whatever].

But yeah, firefighter is a better way to go. My buds on the FD are killing ass on the daily, lots of alpha friends, hella vacation. Don't be a lawyer.

Movie star and rock star literally take networking and knowing people.

Finance: If you mean getting a degree in finance? That's pretty garbage. Maybe become an account and get your CPA. But if you're trying to become some sort of banker or what not that takes connections, not to mention you'd have to be kissing a ton of ass as well.

Doctor: It's basically 10 years of hard fucking work, and if you're really into physiology and helping people then go for it.

There are trades such as being a plumber and electrician which make good fucking money for half the time of a 4 year degree and half the cost.

Petroleum and chemical engineers make good money, electrical and computer second, mechanical third, and civil fourth. Also like you said Doctor would be good too.

I would honestly pick something you enjoy doing and see how it can go from there, but at the same time pick something in demand.

College is basically supply and demand. A majority of kids go to college and get worthless degrees (Psychology, womens studies, philosophy, art, music, etc) Go for something that's in high demand.

When it comes to jobs, it's not about status (at least not primarily), but about money. You can easily look up which jobs earn what, but if you indeed want to hear about status, I'd say doctor and lawyer.

Doctor. Not much to add.

Projekt Manager. Responsibility over people and money.

Consulting something. Travel around and earn a lot.

Stock market stuff. Not only since Wolf of Wallstreet.

Engineering something cool.

Managing people. The more, the better.

A trade and then owning your own small company. Pretty manly.

Notice movie star and rock star are not the most powerful jobs. But they do have the most social proof. This goes against the conventional wisdom.

They are big fish in a big pond, this is unrealistic for most. So be a big fish in a small pond, then invite other small fish into your pond, they will be attracted to you.

I hear chicks go crazy for firefighters and other guys in manly blue-collar professions. That's just what I heard. But go after a job because you're passionate about it above all else, imo.

Off the top of my head:

Business owner
Pilot
Doctor
Lawyer

The key thing to remember is that status is fluid. The woman who has been raised to think doctors are the best job on earth may not think much of an airline pilot. But flight attendants who think pilots are sexy may not find lawyers a big deal. This is just an example, I don't know if flight attendants really think that, but my point is that what's high status to one person may not be high status to another. It's all perceived value. Now that being said...

There are some jobs that are high status no matter what, but they are a premium class of jobs that grant celebrity/fame. Hell, just being in an amateur garage band will net you more status than the best "real job" that's not going to give you a degree of celebrity since being in a band has the potential to grant celebrity. Same with varsity sports in high school and college. It's women's hint that you might make it big some day. Think of it as the status equivalent of preselection, a shortcut for evaluating your potential status from afar.

If you're looking for a shortcut to status, here you go:

Bartender
Bouncer
DJ

They'll give you access to much younger, hotter women without the investment of schooling and years of experience those jobs above require. If anything, with the changing landscape of dating and relationships, the above jobs can be a liability and result in you being someone's beta bucks. Who wants that?

Lastly, many women are attracted to the idea of guys in uniform:

Firefighter
Police
Military

I've had a couple women explain it to me (or agree with the idea at least), that a uniform is like wrapping on a Christmas present. When they see it they can't wait to tear that wrapping paper off to get the present inside.

bartender, DJ, professor, upper management, consulting, police officer, bouncer, firefighter, any job where it is your job to either lead, or control a group of people. any job where you are the head honcho in charge. any job where you make or enforce the rules.

status is about how much social power you have. social power is how much you control a social situation.
