That last paragraph...

Puppy love is the exception, it is the one love that can be educational to men, puppy love is the inevitable experiment in which naivety prevails, boys become men, and they learn first-hand through the misery of heartbreak and the cacophonous confusion of the indecisive female mind that the unilateral worship and adoration of the feminine form, the willingness to be captivated in the beauty of the feminine form be it from the sound of her voice, to the touch of the skin, or the smell of her sweat, is nothing but a futile and suicide-inducing endeavour. Men learn for themselves in their quest for masculinity that they must not worship women, but rather that, they must lead them.

I remember the moment I learned this lesson. Discovering that the ideal of the empowered woman was a bait-and-switch sham crushed me; it was my whole world, crashing down on my shoulders. My father had always warned me, but media, academia, and the feminist influences around me said his old-fashioned view of women was sexist and ignorant.

What this author writes is ugly, but true. The bitterness at the tainted feminist influence which is so pervasive in society has passed. I'm a youth mentor, focusing on encouraging women to explore and develop their feminine traits and empathy, and encouraging men to improve themselves toward excellence and just leadership. I often wonder if men can be taught this lesson without going through the same mourning, anger, and bitterness that I had to go through.

Yes that last paragraph (along with several others) is especially powerful. It's a shame that you and so many other men had to go through such a difficult time with women. Understanding how thoroughly you were misled by every facet of society must have been an absolutely heartbreaking time. I truly feel for all who have had to deal with these sorts of consequences as a result of feminism. Although I am not sure how young men can avoid this entirely, your presence in their lives will certainly help them avoid making the worst mistakes. Best of luck with your mentoring and thank you so much for sharing your own experiences!

Great read. In the past I would feel a chronic lack of desire for most of the girls around me, most of what the images on TV, in porn and pop culture told me I should find attractive. Lots of my 'friends' decided on their own and definitively that I was gay. But when I was like 8 through 12 I would day dream and dream of some seriously straight stuff... I'm actually not going to enumerate it on here but suffice it to say I was spending probably 50% of my time thinking about girls. The rest of my time I'd spend doing such things as eating and playing video games. All this contrary information made me confused for a while, until I started to realize that the reason I wasn't liking the girls around me in my American business culture is precisely because I was straight. They resembled men. I'm into women. Now I realize I just need to look in different places for my women, and not buy the bullshit society is trying to sell me with these hard, wizened women.

So was there any point in your life where you thought you might be gay because of this? You mention others thought it but did you? Do you think this could be a reason connected to this gender identity crisis we're currently seeing an increase of in these past couple decades?

Yeah I absolutely did. I was confused and as a young person, I was easily swept along by the currents of society. Why wasn't I turned on by the 'sluts' and the 'whores' I saw in porn? Why did I feel less masculine than I thought I should? The answers are that there is too much masculinity in these types of women. I like feminine women.

I've examined my own sexuality a lot. I've realized the only way for me to know my own sexuality is to be open to everything. So I've tried to keep as open a mind as I can -- to view everyone, men and women, as potentials for love. And I've found that I do crush on guys sometimes. It's usually a much shallower crush though, and doesn't invoke the deep emotional or powerful (crippling sometimes) physical response girls do. I'm also still relatively young, and still tend to fall in love with random people on the street (Does that ever stop?), and they're almost always women. So maybe I'm a 10% - 90% on the Kinsey scale.

Another thing I find interesting is that our society apparently takes lots of testosterone (first article I found), and I believe it's because of this trend towards masculinity in our culture and men feeling like they need to compensate to gain the natural balance they intuitively feel should exist between the genders.

I like feminine women too, it's the most attractive trait I find in women (when it's present at all), and unlike mere beauty its allure doesn't seem to fade with repeated exposure. It's intoxicating on a physiological level, creating an unconscious response in me.
