We get it: not all of us were born alphas. Some of us had bad male role models, and spent our lives going down the wrong paths. But we've found something that we believe in, and we want to reshape our lives. And guess what, it takes some time. It takes a lot of effort. We have to make mistakes, we have to learn, we have to change; and beating everyone down because they aren't on your level yet, is not helping our cause.

I agree that it would be a better sub if we had higher quality posts; I support that fully. But I also see the need for people to make mistakes and fumble their way through shit. So let's figure out how to cultivate a better community without bashing everything that people post.

So without doxing myself too much, I am a dedicated martial arts person, and I am active in a sub on here dedicated to my hobby. They offer graphical flairs to show everyone what belt you currently wear. That way you can easily tell what caliber of advice this person has to offer. While MRP does some level of flair; why not push that more. Tag everyone new in here with a "white belt" (I use that example because most people understand white belt means stupid noob.). When you've shown you can post decent level items, have a monthly promotion from the mods. Give them their blue belt. So on and so forth. It encourages growth without sledgehammering everyone because their not alpha enough.

White belts will be white belts. They always ask/do the dumbest shit; but coming down on them for being new and figuring things out... It's a bit dickish. I already know Strategos Autokrator is preparing his "we're not here to hold their dicks while they pee" reply; but until then, let's show some grace to the next generation of red pills.

I'm only using the martial arts belt system as an example because its what I'm familiar with. If you all want to use Beta Bux through Alpha Fucks, great. Make that happen. The point is, we need to be a teaching group, not a circle jerk of people posting high level crap. I don't mean we hold everyone's hands; as many have said, we don't want people to become dependent on us, as were trying to learn to become captains of our own ships. I get it; but not one successful captain (real ones) of any ship got there without spending hours talking things out and making mistakes in a classroom.

If you're only slightly on board with that idea, here's another one: open up a weekly thread where "white belts" can ask stupid questions all in one thread. "White Belt Wednesday". Ask all your stupid questions in there on that one day. "Success Story Sunday" want a high five? bring it to the table on Sunday's. Other than that, sit back and watch the upper belts work; you can respond and ask questions, but don't post stupid new posts just to tell everyone how day 5 went.

Are we interested in that, or shall the beatings continue?
