I wrote the book because my goal was to save marriages by saving men. As Athol Kay writes, the "Test" is something many married men who are improving will face. That is, many men will get increased attraction from women before their wife even notices. That is "The Test." So basically, the one month concept is because I wanted to give the wives time to catch up and designed the program (it is really a class curriculum in positive masculinity/Red Pill for men in low(er) sex marriages) around that premise.

Also, Athol Kay suggested taking an entire year of improvement before you blow it all to shit and since I had 12 levels of Dread it seemed exactly right and consistent with his writings to take a month to implement each level.

That all said, this is a guideline. Every man needs to decide how to implement this for himself and his own marriage. The idea is to ratchet it up slowly over months rather than a few days where you rocket to level 10 and tell your wife- fuck me or were done. That is a highly anti-seductive approach which will usually not work.

So if you are already at level 5 or 6, you are already in shape, you are already busy, you already don't take shit from your wife, and then by all means, continue from there. However, I bet you have not consciously tried level 4- begin conditioning your availability to your wife with her sexual availability to you. I bet you have not considered the difference between withholding attention, affection and presence in response to sexual denials.

If she is sexually available and passionate then why are you running dread game at all?

Finally, I caution (again) that Dread seems to work ridiculously well with sexual denials. Dread seems to work quite well with bitchy, nasty attitudes. Dread does not seem to work as well with motivating a fat bitch to get off her ass and work out- although there is some disagreement on this claim of mine from very respected Merps.

The 1000 foot rope concept. You are a boat captain. She's on a raft, tied to you with this really long rope.

Your wife is apathetic toward you. This tells me you're not leading the relationship, you probably haven't even picked a direction to lead toward. You both are just floating in the water next to each other.

When you realize that your job as a man is to improve yourself, and you actually start doing it, then you start off, slowly picking up speed.

You can't tell her you're moving, because she cannot and will not believe you. Women talk, men do. So STFU. Anything you say will be seen as validation seeking. "look mommy!, I'm driving!!!"

So you keep going, picking up speed. This takes months of work.

Because the rope is long, she doesn't move. Nothing has changed from her perspective, except maybe you're starting to look a little further away and are facing away from her. She probably doesn't care.

Eventually, the rope will start to tug. She'll either come along for the ride or decide to cut the rope and keep floating. By this point you're way ahead of her and continuing to pilot your ship. Hopefully by then you realize that what she does, she will do. Outcome independence - you're going to keep driving your yacht. You can take her on a fun ride, or not.

But you need to allow her some slack. 1000 feet.

Or you can cut the rope yourself at any time.

You lift, but are you lean? You can upgrade your wardrobe any time, but if your body fat is higher than 10-15% then you have work to do in the gym and the kitchen.

Have you read the recommended books for each level?

If your mindset is wrong, your frame is weak, or parts of your behavior aren't congruent, then stuff from the higher levels will likely make things worse.

Changing your behavior quickly will set off alarm bells and will invite discussions that you're not ready to handle.

Going beyond level 5 in the anger phase is unwise.

If your wife is apathetic about everything, then she needs a doctor. If she's apathetic only about you, then you'll find strategies here that can turn your life around.

Because people do stuff half-assed when they're trying to do too many things at once. Focus on one or a few things and do them properly.

If you really got a level under control just skip to the next. But are you sure you have it done? For example you say you lift, but you also say you're too small, so somethings is missing - intensity, program, consistency, time, diet?). If that is not done, then you're better off figuring out what is missing from your lifting than going out.

Basically because you dont know what you dont know yet. Reading this stuff it's easy to get through a book or two and think "i got it". So you implement quickly and shit goes wrong. Then you read more books, posts, etc and it's like "oh, well now it makes more sense". Thats why we say go slow. Because you dont know what you dont know.
