Question regarding monk mode

I see monk mode as being when you essentially have to withdraw from outside stimuli in order to focus inwards.

There's many paths to this, but you start by disengaging from habitual ritual. Ie. you two always watch tv together at night until you fall asleep? Nope, now you're working on a hobby.

You're cutting the quantity waste time out of your life and replacing it with anything and everything that improves you as a person.

If sex is a contention and used against you a lot...it's out for the time being. You don't talk about it. You're just busy doing other shit.

Ad repeat rinse for every other quantity useless tingle killing part of you that you electively don't have to do and replace it with something else: either quality or self-improvement.

Thanks for the answers guys. For me they shine like a torch on a dark road.

I have to say that sex is used by her as a weapon or a display of power. There is never a situation where I have to jump through hoops or perform choreplay with sex as a reward. Your response in regard to that has made me decide against monk mode.

Another thing that I have come to realize since yesterday is that my biggest issue is my total fear of rejection. I need to work to be mentally aware of abundance. I have no outcome independance.

Since I started the MRP journey 6 months ago I have improved in most aspects of my life. Yes, I have slipped up, but I am leaner, fitter and more in control than I was in ten years before that.

I have however handed over control of my sexuality to my wife and never gotten it back. I guess the beta me still feel I am owed sex, even if rational me realizes that it can never be so.

Me going monk mode will just play directly into what is going on. She will be like a pig in Palestine if I never initiate again. My only way forward is to continue to improve. To continue to initiate, but to develop that abundance mentality so that if I am denied sex to carry on without getting butt hurt and acting like a baby without a teet.

It seems that the hardest part is getting rid of that blue pill mentality that has been drilled into us by our mothers and grandmothers. What gets me most these days is how I can be the most assertive guy at work, giving direction without feeling a fuck if I hurt somebody's feelings, but as soon as get home I turn into a scared little puppy ready to piss on the carpet.

It seems that works like a negative feedback loop. Even though the feminists would have field day with this, it seems that the only way to proceed is to accept that my wife is replaceable.
