Hi to all, it's great to find this corner of the internet. My story is long and requires a lot of coffee, lol. Not completely sure how to best sum it up... basically, I'm married to a man who believes he ought to lead the home... he is very religiously conservative and I once was as well... early on in our marriage, I decided that the idea of him leading was bs... I felt controlled and resentful... seven years later and I'm on this subreddit. I've always been able to see the harms that feminism has done to our society, but in my own personal life, I wanted to reap feminism's benefits. I think I have really effed up my marriage because of that. It has been tremendously helpful for me to find this site and to read about these concepts from a non-religious perspective. I want to give my husband the leadership that I know he craves (and thanks to you all, I now understand why... I used to just think he was a controlling jerk, YKWIM?) But I'm definitely scared. I could write a lot more but I don't want to bore everyone on my first post. :) I'm just really glad to have found this community and I am looking forward to reading more truth instead of the lies my society has fed me for so long.
