I completely agree with this assessment. I havent come across any to be honest. Writers either have no real world experience or they're playing on women's fantasies by depicting highly unrealistic "perfect" scenarios where the stars align. The best example of "game" where I was pleasantly surprised was Daniel Craig in Casino Royale, specifically the interaction on the airplane.

TV is a complete waste of time. If you want to waste some time though, watch something with David Attenborough. You'll learn more about humans from watching animals interact.

Californication does a decent job of it. Sure it's a bit glorified and excessive but that is because it needed to sell for an audience. I think when you see Hank Moody game women, it does a decent job of showing how women genuinely react.

I watch this Japanese TV drama called Midnight Diner in Netflix. I think it's pretty raw in terms of social reality. You may want to check it out.

I dont think that's true at all. The Sopranos and Succession off the top of my head show a lot of social reality, albeit within circles that are not the norm (gangsters or wealthy media dynasty family)

The ending is as brutal as reality could fucking possibly be.

Its story carries you through its average animation.

Also cowboy bebop.

The man with no name trilogy.

And you'll definitely like this one. "Once upon a time in the west"

Thats all I really watch.
