When I was a kid, I was at the supermarket with my mom and we had ran into my best friends mom, who loved to blab about anything and everything. For whatever reaaon, right then and there, she launches into a story about how she was dating a man she really liked (alpha) but he ditched her and she married my friends dad, who had a "great job" and could "take care of her" (beta).

She told us this right there in the supermarket, next to the eggs. That day, at twelve years old, I learned that a) not all women marry their first choice, and b) I will never be someones second choice.

I guess this was my first dose of the red pill, although it takes a lot to truly deprogram NAWALT, however I knew that day that I'd never be okay with being someone's second choice. Fucking never.

And I guess that lady was on to something because she raised a few ULTRA MEGA BETAS with that guy. Seriously, my friend has gotten EVEN MORE BETA through the years and is now hitting peak blue status.

According to a recent Mail survey of 1000 married ladies, half of all women have a backup husband in mind should their current one break during use.

Me too, in case a plate flakes out on me. The difference is my backup plate is real.

Half have a specific backup husband in mind. The other half are ok with the idea, but haven't found the target yet.

I wonder if we filter for married women with hyphenated last names if that statistic starts hitting 100%...

For being so focused on understanding the human psyche, I find it amusing how often these attempts at disparaging women are posted. I imagine the surprise of the pseudo-enlightened redpiller as he discovers, to his great dismay, that women are people, too.

Of course women have backup husbands. Men have backup women, too. Shit, I have a backup for anything I can afford a backup of because that's what backups are for. If you go into something without an exit strategy or alternative you're either pretty fucking stupid or you're just straight up naive.

I look at all the married couples living around me and don't understand why they do it other than to take care of kids. Seems like an ultra boring lifestyle to me. I'd rather live alone than live on someone else's schedule all the time.

This half of married women are likely married to the bottom-of-the-barrel betas. This should come as no surprise.

Often, during the anger phase of incessant AWALT proclamations, budding TRPers forget that the knowledge vested in them through this sub puts them well above average (easily in the top 20% of men). If we ask the question with this in mind, then we start looking at the top 20% of married women.

We're above the average here. Internalize that.

As much as I want to agree with the findings as it sounds true, I really wish they had a larger sample size than 1000 women. Really it makes it about as scientific as a survey on family feud.
