Rape or not, she still fucked up inviting a strange dude into her house to hang out when she was supposed to be going to her boyfriend's. When you put the whole story together, every move she made leading up to the incident screams "untrustworthy whore".

Fact is, this girl was not raped. She made some poor decisions and tried to cover them up in the most despicable way possible.

How do roofies even work? I've been blackout, forget the entire day, drunk yet still manage to be me in a blackout state. I still am who I am, it's never turned me into a mindless 'yes' zombie. I don't buy it. She doesn't even want to pursue it, because of her guilty conscience due to the fact she was about to falsely damn this guy she hooked up with, just to save her own ass.

If he was going to go that route, he simply would've just left after he was done, and when they next spoke, just tell her she passed out, and that he put her in bed and went home...not rape her, then fucking sit there and wait for her to wake up so they could talk about it. Pull your head out of the sand.

As I said previously, a decent woman wouldn't invite a random in to "hang out" after they've both been drinking, when she was supposed to be going to her bf's. The fact that she didn't just have this dude drop her off at her boyfriend's, who apparently lives practically next-door, but instead decided for the two of them to go hang at her place, is another key element here. Giant red flag. This situation was premeditated by her. Poor judgment and deception all around.

Well for an update she won't go get the rape kit. I think her friend (who knows the guy) talked her out of it. I had to go to work so she picked her up from the hospital. She says she doesn't have enough evidence and is worried about it being flipped on her and called a false acusation. She doesn't think she was raped but the guy stayed in her bed. I just asked her to tell me what happened so I can live in peace. Her response was that she got home didn't feel well, puked, and passed out in her bed, that's all she knows. I dont if the guy thought he would get lucky or if they actually had consensual sex or he raped her. Those are the only things I know. I'm pretty destroyed right now, trying to get work done. But I gotta be strong and stand up for my own morals. Regardless of what happened I found another man in my girlfriends bed. I don't think I'll ever be able to really trust her again so I think I'm done. Pretty heartbroken reddit. Life is crazy sometimes.

Has it occured to you that this girl already had 3 beers in her that she ADMITTED, meaning probably more like 6, and then she smoked up a bowl of weed with him.

This girl might for all we know be 5'0 and 100lbs, and shes got a significant quantity of alcohol and class C drugs in her system, as has he by this stage.

It sounds like shes smoked way more than i do, and i can be quite difficult to get a sensible answer out of when im baked, and i dont always remember whats happened either. I'm 6'2 and 230lbs.

Your scenario is possible, as is the possibility that Batman came in, raped her while her bedfellow slept and then swooped his way out of there like a ghost.

So, just to get this right, this alleged rapist is okay with raping someone while they are drugged, however, he suddenly has such compassion for his victim that he decides to call the cops, potentially endangering himself, in order to protect his rape victim from being violently assaulted by her boyfriend?

He goes from rapist to knight in shining armor in a matter of two hours. These people are unbelievably dense.

What's more likely:

  1. A rapist rapes a woman and then decides he wants to protect her from being violently assaulted by her boyfriend, so he calls the cops.

  2. A man sleeps with a woman in a relationship, gets caught by the boyfriend who goes berserk, then calls the cops, fearing for his ONS's safety.

Nope, definitely a rapist.

See, what ya did here is use logic. Logic isn't in their brain cavities. The girl spread her lady bits for a guy who gave her the tingles. She fell asleep after the sex wore her out. She woke up to a dense bf that hamstered the situation and she just let him believe a scenario that absolves her of having any agency. The rest is noise. How I hate to prove you wrong right now man but I'm a sucker for logic and arguing....

-the alleged rapist could have known that the GHB would be out of her system completely by the time the authorities could test her (I'm not a pharmacist or MD so I could be completely wrong assuming this is possible)

-knew that he was well known by the "victim" and her coworkers as he worked with them, and decided that his best course of action was not to run, as he would eventually be tracked down, but to act like a concerned innocent stranger who got caught up in the mix.

-knew that the chick had a boyfriend and knew who the guy busting into the room was and if he was smart and quick on his feet that would be the perfect cover.

The chicks story is full of wholes and the facts lean towards her being a cheating slut, but your story is also full of holes.

Thing is i dont think anyone would ASSUME that GHB would be out of her system in anything like a reasonable timeframe for this incident.

Without researching it, your average joe on the street wont know if its detectable for 2 months or 2 hours after its administered.

So either he researched it, in which case he would know how long it would take, or he didnt in which case he's running on guesswork.

If he didnt know, and he were a rapist, he'd surely air on the side of caution and presume that the likelihood is that it remains detectable in her system (especially since she was still drowsy, the drug is still in effect nevermind detectable). Further he has to know that she may report the rape, and be tested, and he's busted.

If he did the research, and he were a rapist, he'd find that since we're talking here about a timeline of what, 3 hours max from start to finish? It should be detectable in the urine for 12-24. He'd know she was still ruffied, and that if she reports it, given that he's known to them, he's fucked.

His story has holes in it sure, but they require a LOT of stupidity on his part, and i do mean a HELL of a lot.

Well for one I am a psychology major, and the mental workings of rapists can vary massively. He could easily be seeking forced intimate interactions with the delusion of it being real. The whole scenario is kind of bizarre and circular. Surely if she was going to cheat she would have texted him to say she was home safe, tired and going straight to bed so he wouldn't try to contact her. Surely if it was a rape the guy wouldn't have called police. Surely if it was cheating she wouldn't have put some trousers on again afterwards just to snuggle with her lover. Surely if it was rape the guy would have left earlier. Etc etc.

Possibility 1: Guy roofied her. Like all date-rapists, he called the police to the crime scene. Our college made all of our frats sit through countless lectures on roofies / drinking / how we were horrible people, so luckily I'm fairly knowledgable about it. YOU WOULDN'T ROOFIE A GIRL AND CALL THE COPS, PERIOD. The effects take longer than 3-4 hours to fade and it would be evident to the police that she was drugged (and all the evidence would be right there to convict you).

Possibility 2: Girl got moderately drunk with a male friend and had sex with him while 99% in control of her mental faculties. Upon getting caught, her hamster is so strong that it actually makes her feel akin to a girl who is fully wasted (when people get caught for something and know something bad will happen like they will get broken up with or expelled or fired, their stomach often gets very nauseous). She now remembers the event as "he got me very drunk." Because of how women's minds work, she actually truly believes the event to be as such.

You can tell this guy's mind is weighing out the 2 possibilities, but because of what he has learned by society, he is leaning towards possibility 1 being the case. What he is ultimately unable to realize, however, is that EITHER SCENARIO involved her getting drinks at some bar / club with her male friend in a 1 on 1 context (and continuing the interaction to the point where she has had 3+ beers).

I would say even if she wound up not fucking the dude, that's a red flag.

why is everyone so intent on finding someone to blame? no one involved in this situation is sober and they all seem like habitual drunks so i don't anticipate much logic here but look at the situation.

she was drinking at a bar and she is a smoker. probably left her drink unattended many times to go smoke which means anyone could have laced her drink with anything. she went home and puked then blacked out. the other guy might have been on something too so who knows why he was in his boxers but it doesnt matter.

if the BF is so concerned why doesnt he just ask this guy what happened that night since he seems legit concerned about the girl he should be cooperative.

Eh, there's still no surefire way to determine if she was drugged or not from this post.

Although, if she's at the hospital, couldn't they test to see if there are any traces of date rape drugs in her system? I do find it odd she wouldn't want to press charges and that the dude called the cops though.

Each piece of evidence can be explained away but put altogether it's rather difficult to swallow.

1) She lives 2/3 of a mile from her bf but had the guy take her to her house instead

2) She claims to have been waiting for a cab to take her to her bf's. THIS CAB NEVER ARRIVES

3) It was just a ride and she was immediately going to her bf's but she invited the guy in

4) She passed out but immediately wakes up at the exact instant her bf appears

5) The "rapist" is just chilling in bed with her having just supposedly raped her

6) The rapist calls the police out of concern that the boyfriend will hurt her despite the fact that he's supposedly drugged and raped her very recently

7) She didn't want the rape kit until the boyfriend threatened to break up

I think it's plausible she got wasted drunk I guess but that doesn't really fit the 3 beer narrative.

edit: Just got posted in the thread, she refused the rape kit. At least she didn't have the balls to fuck this guy over with a false accusation.

Maybe she intends to dump the old boyfriend and date the new guy. Or maybe she has been fucking the new guy for weeks already and there are tons of witnesses of them hanging out showing public displays of affection. And maybe there is a long trail of phone calls and text messages between them. It is far more likely that she has been cheating on him with this guy for a really long time than him running into their first time together.

I don't think she cheated. He was screaming and she didn't wake up until he shook her. Something just seems really odd.

I'm guessing the guy either raped her, or was going to rape her. If he spiked her drink he would know how long the drug would last. If he knows how long he has before she wakes up, he may have been staying there so she thought she had cheated when she wakes up next to him, or he was planning his get away.
