Perfect example of Beta Bucks

Crazy stuff. I was reading this earlier and had a feeling it would get posted here. If you check the guy's history, he's made three or four posts about his relationship in /r/sex, /r/relationship_advice, and /r/relationships. Add his explanatory comments into the mix, and a terrible story unfolds.

I think it's fascinating enough that a full summary might be of interest to readers here:

#1. He's 37 years old and has had sex about seven or eight times in his life, with three women before his current fiancée. This has resulted in him feeling slightly inexperienced and not-so-confident in bed. Contrast that with his fiancée, who says she's "used to being with black men who are bigger" and "can't really feel anything" when he penetrates her.

#2. He and this girl were 'together' eight years ago, dating casually (with him paying for everything, of course), but she later insisted that they were "just friends" at this time while he assumed they were dating because, uh... they were.

#3. She moved away, they lost touch, and she hooked up with some guy she later claimed was abusive, got engaged to him, and then she decided to get pregnant with his baby after an infertility 'scare' (that is, she might have had to undergo a hysterectomy). The guy was angry about this, insisted on an abortion, she refused, and then he kicked her out a week after she had the baby.

#4. She bounced around family members' houses for a while, and then reconnected with the OP when she was "stranded in a desperate situation". He still had weight issues (used to weigh 300+ pounds with sleep apnea complications), but had lost about 45 lbs and was feeling better about life. They dated casually for a few months and then seriously starting 1.5 years ago, and have now been engaged for 7 months. She refused to have sex with him until very recently, citing that she believes premarital sex is "wrong". However, she has had sex with multiple partners in the past, has a child out of wedlock, and no longer goes to church. Oh yeah, and she's been engaged to two different men before, but both times the wedding was called off. Oh, and she let the OP give her oral sex for years before actually consenting to PIV sex with him.

#5. He initially accepted the no-sex rule but wasn't exactly pleased about it - and then suddenly out of the blue she starts having sex with him for the first time. Her new objection is that "living together before marriage is wrong". Never mind that she's lived with other men before, including her past fiancés. And she tells him to stop pressuring her; "I gave you sex, you should be happy with that."

#6. He pays her living expenses and comes to her house to spend time with her and her son, AND to clean and do chores for them... and then she insists that he leave for the night. He technically lives with his elderly widowed mother but barely spends any time there, and lately he's been feeling unhappy about how his fiancée will keep him up until past 1am and then send him home, whereas he'd prefer to leave earlier so he's not so tired making the drive - OR be able to stay the night. He leaves for work every morning at 7:30 anyway.

#7. He works 60-80 hours a week. His fiancée is unemployed, and has been for 1.5 years (hmm, right around the time their relationship started). She hates cleaning and refuses to do it. His only condition for basically being her servant was that she doesn't make him wash the dishes, but now he's doing that too, on top of everything else. She'll leave the dishes in the drying rack after he washed them, for days on end, until he puts them away himself.

#8. She attends school for 12 credit hours but only has classes two days a week. And then she puts her son in daycare all day, every day, from 9am until 6pm. The kid looks at the OP as his father and really misses him when he's not around, yet the mom still doesn't want him moving in.

#9. Until six months ago (one month after getting engaged), she never told him she loved him, and she still acts "weird" about her feelings toward him.

Until 6 months ago, she says she never loved me. She would never be in a relationship with me. She still says it takes time to fully fall in love with someone, and that I shouldn't rush her into saying "I love you" until she's ready, but that she wants to be in love with me and married...
Also, she was sexually assaulted when a pre-teen by her mom's boyfriend. She used to tell me 6 years ago that she was a lesbian, and that's why she'd never date me. (even though we went out constantly on what I considered dates) She later said that she wasn't a lesbian, she would let a woman eat her out, but she wouldn't return the favor and didn't like women.

#10. She calls him needy and complains constantly about the littlest things he does "wrong". Like the way he folds towels. Sometimes she "gets scared" about being in love and will want to be alone for a while. He feels insecure about her feelings for him at times, but then is reassured because:

the thing is, I never call her on the phone, she always calls me. If I stay away for a bit to give her space, she's always calling me.

...She only really wants him when she's afraid she's losing him.

#11. He has his own business which is doing decently well, but he's also run into tax problems that he needs to sort out, so that's been giving him some stress. Because of this, he can't yet afford the big wedding his fiancée wants - no, insists upon - which is why their wedding date is set for the fall of 2015. But she still refuses to let him move in with her before marriage. And she absolutely will not get married in the courthouse.

#12. Skimming through his posts, I somehow missed the fact that she has apparently "gained a lot of weight, she probably weighs about 265 (she's 5ft. 10)". Oh, and she's now 30, compared to his 37.

#13. She's critical of his sexual performance and he claims that it's actually making him perform even worse. Sometimes he needs Cialis to maintain an erection. So she isn't really into the sex, but "says she wants to be".

#14. Lately, now that he's been trying to have honest discussions with her about his concerns, she "gets annoyed because [they're] always talking about something serious."

#15. It turns out his sister used to work for him in his business, but quit upon learning he was engaged to this woman. The sister is extremely vocal in her disapproval of their relationship and the things that his fiancée does.

...And now he comes to Reddit asking, "My fiancée won't let me move in with her; is this normal?"

Man, if anyone needs the wool ripped off of his eyes, it's this guy.

At first her excuse was that she didn't want to have sex until we were married. And that sleeping together (staying the night) would lead to sex.

Yet another example of what scarcity mentality, oneitis, not feeling good with yourself as a man can make you do.

After reading the review which another poster did, how can't he see why he should get the hell out of there? Well, to him that OPTION is better than no options I guess

This has got to be fake. A single mom in her 30s wants to save sex till marriage. Holy fucking shit. They never "casually dated" he just spend money on her. If there continue to be weak as fuck men like this, there is no fucking reason for sluts to stop slutting around. They can have their cake and eat it too.

I never got mad at the woman when I read stories like this. She's getting everything she needs by doing nothing, you can't be mad at that. Anybody, man or woman, would take advantage of a person like this guy.
