Ya after I finished high school and looking back, I noticed how shitty my primary school teachers were compared to high school, regardless of gender, so I just figured the more competent teachers didn't want to teach a bunch of bratty kids.

And how exactly is reading being taught differently nowadays than before? I live in Canada, so not sure if what you're describing is completely applicable to here.

They did the reading thing for a while in the late 80s/early 90s here in Ontario. "Whole word reading method." It was a bit of a disaster, and we're back to a variant of phonics now, but there's still a generation out there whose literacy is questionable.

I was just thinking about this as well. Boys need to jump around, to be physical with one another (wrestle, compete), yet when you take a look at how school classes are structured, it's always: no shuffling in your seat, no physical contact, no talking unless asked to talk, be good, quiet, obedient, which is all aimed at girls, while boys get 5 minutes of free time per 45 minutes of sitting on their asses. Basically, education is 9-to-1 skewed towards girls.

Not letting boys be boys makes them withdraw (become emo).

Yes. It's important to look at the cashflow. If a woman has student-debt, a lower income job and years outside the workforce she might not be marrying down. After the financial crisis, you should all have learned that pieces of paper aren't neccessarily worth anything.

Dude I have a Masters in a very complex field. I know loads of people who work in Datacenters I work, that started out tradesmen, cabling contractors and the like, that started their own small companies making millions.

My skill is I am good at memorizing complex facts. Thats it, intelligence is a lot a lot more facets than retention of a particular formula. I'd never laud my education over somebody that does well for themselves. Its all hard graft in the end.

This is because guys have less opportunity / encouragement to go to school, so they are winding up going to tradeschools, getting into oil or mining or becoming electricians / plumbers, etc. These educated ass women with their degree in polysci, their student debt, and their 20k per year HR job... yeah I bet they are having to settle for less educated men.

When 60 something percent of college students are females, and most females are doing the bullshit majors, then yeah we will see an "education disparity" amongst men and women. But of course, women are not going to be marrying down in terms of income. All the education in the world doesn't change hypergamy.

That may be true, but approximately half of med/dent/vet/pharm/law graduates are women.

I'm in it right now and I can confirm anectdotally that most of these women are married or seriously dating a man who is not in professional school or beyond.

One of my plates is in med school. She knows she is a plate, but as graduation approaches, she brings up 'a real relationship' once in a while. I make ~33k/yr right now and not looking to get anywhere near doctor money anytime soon.

No, they aren't.

They are still marrying men with superior resources to them, they are only marrying "down" when you compare relative education standards.

This is just a function of the latest resource boom / Tech boom / Stock bubble.

Men are making the cash, just not in ways that require a college education.

Yeah, my sister in law married down to my brother, he earned way more than her worthless degree allowed her to, between 3-5x as much depending on the economy. Still, the ignorant bitch doesn't miss an opportunity to wave the paper in his face, figuratively speaking.

Computer Assisted Design can be learned (almost) for free. Learning to read plans can be done at a community college, and most construction work only requires experience and/or an apprenticeship. The Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examinations either require a college degree or an appropriate level of experience, and once that is passed, requirements vary depending on US state and engineering field for what it takes to get a professional engineering (PE) license.

College is a faster route, but it would be wise to get as many courses as possible out of the way at a (much cheaper) community or for-profit college and then transfer them to a "better" university for a degree. You'll have to do research about which credits are transferrable and to where.

Also, look for scholarships, even the federal ones. If you're going to pay taxes for the rest of your life it wouldn't hurt to see some of that money up-front.

None of this is easy, but there are ways to save money, time, or both.

He is referring to "educated" American women who take degrees such as Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Non-Fiction, Gender Studies, and so forth. I have baseball cards that are worth more than those degrees.

Yea, its can be tough to earn a good salary with those degrees. There are an increasing amount of women who go into things like medicine and clinical psych, too though. Its good to see that, I think. People being able to go into the field they want. I mean, I'm a male doing nursing.

You're absolutely right, there is a big income disparity between degrees. Thats why I have a lot of respect for people who pursue their passion knowing full well they likely wont make much money.

I have thought about this also. If more and more women are playing alimony, then alimony is going to end. Women vote in larger numbers than men. The feminized legal system caters to women. So I will not be surprised if women end alimony.

The new battle field will be children. Men will fight tooth and nail to get the kids in order to avoid paying child support and make the woman pay. But of course, guys will lose that battle because women always win custody.
