It's funny how many people(females) can't accept the fact that guys really don't want to be friends with taken women. To them, it's "hypocritical" for a man to not care about another man's relationship status, but do care about a woman's.

To be completely honest, I have never met a woman, single or not, that I have wanted to hang out 1 on 1 with because of their friendship. There are a specific few who I enjoy talking with and have great personalities, but none that I could see myself 1 on 1 with them and enjoying it as much as I would any of my male friends. The reasons why I hang out with women are either to get laid, or social proof/networking.

If a man says he is attracted to a girl because of her personality, he is lying. Absolutely no man I know has acquired an erection from a non-sexual conversation from a woman alone. I've asked.

[–]anra 15 points16 points17 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

women have a hard time accepting that they really can't relate to men.

The husband weighs in! http://np.reddit.com/r/sex/comments/1hf20e/i_hate_being_wifed_anyone_else_out_there_feel_this/cauioqy

Ugh. That was just painful to read. Every post from him is just pandering to the crowd.

C'mon guys! My wife's really cool! You should be friends with her but not want to fuck her. Well, not all the time!

[–]anra 97 points98 points99 points 13 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

this is basically a thread full of women complaining about not getting male attention, and a bunch of dudes asking what the fuck they expected.

you are not entitled to male attention.

[–]throwawaygonnathrow 43 points44 points45 points 13 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

"But if men don't give you attention, then that means they are misogynists!"

[–]3yearoldgenius 4 points5 points6 points 13 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I just checked, most of the top comments agree that what she feels like, is pretty much what life is like for almost all guys and ugly girls.

I wouldn't say it's a thread full of women complaining. In fact most of OPs comments are downvoted.

[–]anra 3 points4 points5 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

... okay?

pretty much every top comment in that thread now was made after i posted that.

[–]3yearoldgenius 4 points5 points6 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Ah sorry. My mistake then.

I wasn't trying to be instigating or anything. I should've looked at the times.

[–][deleted] 71 points72 points73 points 13 years ago* (14 children) | Copy Link

She's bitching that no one flirts with her anymore and that she gets called out when she tries to be flirty.

Worse than that when said guy was sober later he apologized for being flirty...to my husband.

How dare someone respect her husband!!!!/s

Long story short - I am no longer treated like an individual - some people have told me that that's just how this is, which frustrates me a lot.

She wants people to give her the perks of being single (male attention) while she gets the perks of being married (security) from her husband.

Edit: here is the twox cross post in an attempt for her to get more people on her side

[–]anra 34 points35 points36 points 13 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

from the top comment in the twox post:

People had told me that some of these guys in college were only my friends in hope they could "get with me." I didn't believe it, until I had a ring on my finger. It was a wake up call that showed who was actually my friend.

where can i put that so that every woman alive will see it?

holy shit, this twox thread is a goldmine. absolutely full of women saying, essentially, "i wish that being married changed nothing about my life, it's so unfair that it does!" no wonder so many people get divorced, people apparently have no fucking idea what they're signing up for.

[–]Kharn0 10 points11 points12 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I really hate the "how come they only talk to me because they want sex?!" Well, considering this is at places where people go to hook up. OFCOURSE they only want to talk to you to get some booty! This isn't a book club! or a PTA meeting or a business meeting! If you want people to talk to you not based on anything to do with sex, go there instead!

[–]pcadrian43 points 13 years ago* [recovered] (9 children) | Copy Link

I just feel bad for the husband to be married with someone with that mentality.

[–][deleted] 28 points29 points30 points 13 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

I doubt the marriage will last more than a decade. Once she's hit the wall she'll make a desperate attempt to trade up.

[–]DesiAntiFeminist 29 points30 points31 points 13 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Three years, tops. She is already unhappy in the honeymoon phase of her married life. Additionally, she has extremely poor judgement and a head full of delusions far beyond the typical wife's.

[–]dnietz 4 points5 points6 points 13 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I was going to post the same. This "marriage" will end soon. The soon to be ex-husband will be better off.

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

... not financially.

[–]dnietz 1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They don't have kids yet according to her posts. Maybe he'll get lucky and it will stay that way. I would definitely DNA test if it changes.

[–]RedditBlueit 2 points3 points4 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

If they lived together five years she married past the honeymoon phase.

[–]Kharn0 5 points6 points7 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

in her XX post she states "got married to my boyfriend of 5 years, we didn't do it out of want to start a family etc... but more along the lines of it made it convenient to live together (related to our current jobs) and because we love each other and wanted to share that"

THATS her problem, she doesnt even even understand thats a terrible reason to marry

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That's the vibe I got when I got half way through her post. She didn't even mention how her husband is taking it. She is gonna cheat on him before the summer is out.

[–]pirateundies 53 points54 points55 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Woman gets married and doesn't want to admit that men no longer have incentive to pretend she's more interesting than she is.

Meanwhile, her husband has been permanently given value to other women as well as a sense of competition. Ladies always want what's just out of reach.

[–][deleted] 44 points45 points46 points 13 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

This again boils down to women not having or understanding Honour. They don't understand that another man has "put a ring on it" and between honourable men, that means you leave her the fuck alone. She can't grasp that the fact that she's married comes with a perceived threat from the husband in the eyes of other males.

All she sees is how this affects her, even when she does consider the idea that the guy doesn't want to piss the husband off (because it's against "the code"), she gets even more annoyed that it's her apparently being shunned again.

I wonder how she would react to another (much more attractive) woman getting very flirty with her husband? The claws would be out, no doubt.

[–][deleted] 18 points19 points20 points 13 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

hahaha, check her posting history for the answer.

[–]johnsmith66 28 points29 points30 points 13 years ago* (5 children) | Copy Link

This is a great gem:

When he flirts with a new girl there's a spark in his eyes that I don't see when he talks to me anymore...how do I come to terms with this??

WTF? She wants to be in an open marriage, but she gets jealous when he flirts with other women? This is one wild hamster.

[–][deleted] 14 points15 points16 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Careful, you'll rage-quit her thread if you stay too long lol.

[–]Endorsed ContributorrebuildingMyself 7 points8 points9 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

She alpha fucks beta bucks, but wants beta tucked away in the closet paying her bills

[–]Kharn0 9 points10 points11 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

yeah, a "monogomish" marriage in her words, but god help her husband if he even flirts with another woman. Sounds open only in one-direction to me

[–]Endorsed Contributor30303030303030 2 points3 points4 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Jesus, what a selfish bitch...

[–]James_Coook 28 points29 points30 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Call me crazy but I don't think this marriage is going to last very long. Guys are treating her different...well of course...they won't be hitting on her...but still she expects guys to kiss her ass. Smh.

[–]DesiAntiFeminist 16 points17 points18 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Correct. The men are following the code of honor of a married friend. But soon enough there will come around an interloper who'll deliver to her the cheating she's looking for.

Stick a fork in her. She's done being married.

[–][deleted] 23 points24 points25 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

TL;DR "Where's all my free attention at?! I need men to approach me and tell me how amazing I am! I am amazing, right? Uh oh, now i'm unhaaaaaaaapy, time for a divorce!"

[–]schoolsterz 15 points16 points17 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Divorce? More like fuck any man that gives her attention.

[–]Senior Contributor: "The Court Jester"GayLubeOil 6 points7 points8 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The upside of this post is that even if she does not fully comprehend the sanctity of marriage the other men in her story do and refuse to flirt with her.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I love a happy ending!

[–]ThisPlaceIsScary 15 points16 points17 points 13 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Women are so hung up on friendship, but they use beta friendsho\ips to get stuff. The fuck?

"IT'S NOT FRIENDSHIP IF ALL YOU WANT IS SEX, PLEASE MOVE MY COUCH, FRIEND!"

[–]anra 10 points11 points12 points 13 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

god there was a thread in /r/askwomen the other day that asked "what different expectations do you have of a male best friend and a boyfriend".

[–]MockingDead 16 points17 points18 points 13 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

I may have to look for it. I rarely go there, because, as I have said so many times before "The wolf does not concern himself with the opinions of sheep"

edit: LOL i just got banned from /r/askwomen... i guess for posting this? i don't know, i haven't posted in there all day.

[–]pirateundies 12 points13 points14 points 13 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

Yeah they routinely ban people who are kind enough to leave their sub alone and make fun of them elsewhere. Though sometimes I get the impression it might be one mod in particular...

[–]TheIslander829 6 points7 points8 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

http://www.reddit.com/user/poesie

She gets off on banning people.

[–]enticingasthatmaybe 8 points9 points10 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

She has enough hamster to power NYC on New Year's Eve. I love watching her get her shit pushed in when she brings her trope to /r/askmen though.

[–]anra 17 points18 points19 points 13 years ago* (6 children) | Copy Link

nope, sent a mod-message asking why i got banned. got these from three different mods:

"We have a pretty clear no linking rule. Bye bye now."

"Do yourself a favor and read our rules."

"Please read our rules. They're pretty clear."

never in my wildest dreams did i think i could get banned from somewhere by linking to it somewhere else. BUT WHAT IF I WANT TO ASK A WOMAN A QUESTION?

as an aside, most of these posts have 3-4 downvotes. WONDER WHO THOSE ARE FROM.

[–]pirateundies 21 points22 points23 points 13 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

The rule actually says "don't link to askwomen for the purpose of stirring up drama."

Which, I assume, actually means "don't criticize us in other subs or generally discuss us in subs we don't like."

[–]anra 8 points9 points10 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

no assumption necessary, they made that pretty clear.

[–]BabyBowser -4 points-3 points-2 points 13 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I actually think its meant to prevent brigades and trolls. shrug

[–]anra 5 points6 points7 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

isn't that the point of np links?

[–]BabyBowser 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Np links?

They don't require linking at all. If you link in their sub they remove it too. I've seen posts or comments removed almost immediately and askmen complaining about too.

If you link from a website you only can if you wrote a well enough description that the person doesn't have to click on the link.

[–]W-Z-R 5 points6 points7 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

She's married, that's why men are not flirting with her, because most people understand that you don't pursue people who are married.

[–][deleted] 17 points18 points19 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

He should not have married her. She does not seem to want to be married at all.

I cringed when I read the word "monogamish."

Traditional wedding vows have a sentence that says something like, "you have become one in the flesh" or something creepy sounding that implies unity. She should not be surprised that her husband and herself are now treated as one entity. It is as though this woman expected marriage to be less binding than a corporate merger, but I guess that it is technically less binding in the 21st century West.

If people want to behave like bonobos they should stay in the forest.

[–]Endorsed ContributorrebuildingMyself 11 points12 points13 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's a lot less binding for her. Divorce = cash and prizes for a woman. She's already hamstering a divorce

We're no longer omniumamore and omniumamore's husband, now we're a unit.

What the fuck is the concept and purpose of a marriage then to this woman?

What kind of man listens to his wife talk about not being treated like she's single despite her best efforts to behave like she's single and carries on like this isn't the utmost disrespect? Why do her friends have the balls to put her in her place and not him? What kind of dumb fuck agrees to a "monogomish" marriage?

These fucking clowns marrying these broads get on my nerves sometimes.
