didn't do drugs (weed is not a drug)

Hamstering already.

[–]Ronfar 9 points10 points11 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That part made me laugh the most. That and this:

History: I was always the typical "good girl."

I was promiscuous, so I never had a problem with my sexuality.

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 13 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

To be honest, it doesn't make sense to call weed a drug and to not call alcohol or cigarettes a drug. People who do those aren't saying that they do drugs either.

[–]QuietlyLearning 7 points8 points9 points 13 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Not calling alcohol or cigarettes a drug is a form of cognitive dissonance unless you define "drug" as a culturally unacceptable substance. Weed is on the grey line between taboo and acceptable.

Anything you put into your body can be considered a drug under the right circumstances.

[–]chikinpickle 1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Given that the drugs of alcohol and nicotine (tobacco) are not referred to as drugs, and generally marijuana is also not referred to as a drug. While other substances like heroin and crack "hard" drugs are, we could successfully make the argument that the word "drug" is defined in common usage as a socially unacceptable drug, or a "hard" drug such as meth or crack, or an illegal drug. As marijuana is decriminalized and legal in many states.

This is the common usage of the word, not the actual meaning. Language is always changing.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Generally something is classified as a drug if it is harmful and addictive. Here is a chart. As you can see, alcohol is both more harmful and more addictive than cannabis, and the same goes for tobacco. So I certainly agree with you that not defining alcohol and tobacco as a drug is cognitive dissonance.

I keep hearing the term "hamstering". What does it mean?

[–]iceet15 points 13 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

The rationalization hamster is an analogy for the thought processes used by women to turn bad behavior and bad decisions into acceptable ones to herself and her friends. When a woman makes a bad decision, the hamster spins in its wheel (the woman’s thinking) and creates some type of acceptable reasons for that bad decision. The crazier the decision, the faster the hamster must spin in order to successfully rationalize away the insanity.

Rationalization Hamster From The Private Man:

"The rationalization hamster is an analogy for the thought processes used by women to turn bad behavior and bad decisions into acceptable ones to herself and her friends. When a woman makes a bad decision, the hamster spins in its wheel (the woman’s thinking) and creates some type of acceptable reasons for that bad decision. I did it for about 2 months

Most girls lie about how many partners they've had, are we sure she wouldn't lie about this?

Besides, how high do you think her count is after just 2 months?

[–]QuietlyLearning 6 points7 points8 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

There have been some AMAs with brothel workers in the United States or other countries. Depending on the area, the count per night varies. If we take the minimum of two per day, that's one hundred and twenty.

A lot of women don't understand that economics applies to more than the dollar sign.

[–]HarleyWalker 18 points19 points20 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Her comments aren't half as bad as the men just trying to tell her what they think she wants to hear.

Currently at +5:

I would even date a current escort. If it's in the past it wouldn't bother me at all.

When he says "date", I sincerely hope he means "have casual sex with" rather than "date exclusively and become a cuckold for".

Poor guy.

[–]toptrool 5 points6 points7 points 13 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

So, question. If you met a girl who was smart, funny, pretty, kind, gentle, the total bring-home-to-your-parents package, but then you found out that she escorted 6 years ago for 2 months, you'd leave her?

exercise: find the contradiction.

[–]TRP Vanguard: "Dark Triad Expert"IllimitableMan 3 points4 points5 points 13 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

The question is loaded, it assumes a girl can be your ideal girl and also be a sex worker whose seen hundreds of cocks.

Your ideal girl hasn't released oxytocin in her nervous system to over 100 other cocks penetrating the depths of her soul. That alone impedes her ability to be monogamously loyal. I smell a cuckold.

TLDR: can't fuck 100s of guys and redeem it by trying to present yourself as a "good girl"... in fact it reminds me of this AGAIN: http://therationalmale.com/2011/11/10/good-girls-do/

She thinks she's a unicorn after fucking 100's of guys, she's fucking deluded that hamster is going at military fighter jet mach speed.

[–]toptrool 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

pretty much it, but more specifically:

If you met a girl who was smart, funny, pretty, kind, gentle, the total bring-home-to-your-parents package, but then you found out that she escorted 6 years ago for 2 months, you'd leave her?

in my family, that's instant shaming and disowning.

brilliant

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm paraphrasing, but she stated that she's just like any other girl. Sorry darling, I don't know many escorts. I know two girls that have been mildly successful with porn, but they definitely aren't normal or the same after people found out.

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 13 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

I don't blame her so much as the guys who are either blatantly lying to her or are even remotely grounded in reality.

[–][deleted] 7 points8 points9 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I'm split on this issue. I've met a stripper/hooker that was really friendly, really feminine, respectful, and was overall a nice person. She was open about what she did and it didn't seem like a big deal. I think a lot of guys would be happy to be with her.

I know generally speaking it's a bad idea but that one girl always comes to mind.

[–]QuietlyLearning 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The biggest issue with dating sex workers is that, as with quite a lot of women, they don't bring anything beyond their sexuality (not feminine traits) to the table. With the sex work, the woman's sexuality has been devalued.

The woman you are talking about may have realized that her sexuality is not going to be as valued as someone who didn't give it away for money. The feminine traits and respect make up for that missing value.

It can be argued that strippers do not devalue their sexuality as much. That is up for debate.

Experience - Noun

An event or time period where a woman felt tingles on a daily basis.

Sleeping with hundreds of hunky men last year was an experience

When women make these arguments about how the fact they were a hooker or a slut in days gone by shouldn't be used against them it always makes me laugh. How dare you make them have to feel responsible for their past actions? Women are supposed to get a free ride, remember? Sometimes I feel like its the only area in life where magically, you can't judge someone from their past actions because otherwise it makes YOU the bad guy.

Can you imagine if someone went onto there and posted something along the lines of:

"I am sick and tired of people judging me just because I happen to have molested a few children a few years ago. This happened in the PAST people!! It was years ago. I hate it when people bring it up and use it against me. My girlfriend doesn't even let me babysit her kids, which pisses me off. Why is she so judgemental and such an asshole to me like this? People need to get over it and stop being so prudish about this shit."

Yeah...see if they would apply the same logic then.

[–]iKill_eu 2 points3 points4 points 13 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

To be fair, molesting kids is a lot worse morally than prostitution, at least as long as we're not talking human trafficking.

[–]the_letter_P 3 points4 points5 points 13 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Indeed you are correct. I was using a rather extreme example to highlight how the underlying logic of their argument is stupid when applied to other things.

You could use something like hiring someone with a fraud conviction to work for an investment group if you prefer

[–]MartialWay 2 points3 points4 points 13 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

"I keep telling people it's just the past, but banks keep using my actual credit score based on my actual actions. Narrow minded bastards!"

[–]iKill_eu 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah. And for the record, I do agree that entering any form of relationship with a prostitute, former, current or future, is a terrible idea.

[–]moorethanafeeling 1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

What's funny is that women can't see a difference between sleeping with 10 guys and sleeping with 10 guys for money. (arbitrary number)

[–]QuietlyLearning 2 points3 points4 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

In the end, the result is validation from those men that the woman is useful. The ones who ask for money are just getting a sweeter deal.

[–]DaddyMonster 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I was always the typical "good girl."

Sooo... Good girls whore themselves, slut it up in general, get "involved with a bad crew" and do drugs...

Riiiight.
