I was at work the other day and I see a link to an article detailing how women staff working on check-outs at UK Supermarket chain Asda (Owned by Wal-Mart) are demanding equal pay to the largely male workforce employed within their warehouses.

The consensus within the female workforce seems to be that both jobs are of "equivalent value". Seemingly ignoring the fact the men working in the warehouses have much more responsibilty to health & safety regulations, purchasing and logistical management and generally a more physically demanding job.

Just another example of the lack of perspective within some of these women's understanding of the world. I can almost imagine the endless hamstering going on in the lunch rooms at these stores as they discuss the "inequality" and "opression" within their difficult lives.
