It really depends on the stage of your life you currently in..

Guess teens like to put things in a box and stick a label on everything, so it can be a little tricky at this age..Not sure what kids say to each other nowadays but we used to say things like “we hang out” or “we are good friends”..

In your 30’s, Its pretty normal to tell your friends in advance that you come with a “friend” and nobody is going to ask too many questions..
