Remember, you're in that class to learn what they are teaching, not win a battle about who's right. Take what's coming in, regurgitate for the test.

Old man advice to a young man, cause I love you man, so don't take it the wrong way: "Speak your mind"? Just stop that. Your opinion on anything in this situation (meaning the classroom) is not important. At every moment, ask yourself "Does doing/saying X get me closer to my goal?" If not, keep your trap shut.

I took that class too way back. There are interesting parts (the stuff backed up with statistics and experiments) but don't let the rest beat you down.

I'd quit and go into trades. I don't think there's a way to get a college education in America today safely if you're man.

Tech Stocks and Indexes like the INVESCO leveraged 3x beta bull TQQQ, or NASDAQ's are always growing very fast, much more than the S/P 500 and therefore the pay is good cause its a growth field and with all the free investment money and hype, it trickles down into salary.

I am 18 and chose CS b/c of career outlooks. I also was working towards a CCNA in the summer before college and did some program in the summer where you are paid to learn how to code.

The career outlooks arent that good for phsology and its filled with, well, to put it nicely, very very very very misinformed liberals.

Its never worth it to speak your view if it can be used against you. The guy from google, James Demore was fired for his memo on gender differences. 200k salary as a programmer vanished overnight.

Key point: When something is controversial or your opinion may be used against you, say No Comment. When speaking to law enforcement or any incriminating ordeal, say I plead the 5th. I plead the 5th to our HS principle, I plead the 5th or say no comment all the time when it becomes expedient.

Trades is a good second choice, but but but but. I used to work construction. I do build stuff in my garage. Its fun, very fun, but keep in mind you cant do it forever, physical toll. If doing trades, you have to go union, full union. IBEW, local 3, etc... Union pay is 2x the regular pay.

Also jobs like Train Driver, Conductor, etc. pay well.

IT also pays well and does not require a degree. Just get certifications like CCNA, A+, etc and get the job. It has higher salary than a trades person.

Also college is hella expensive. Try and overload on credits or commute to school. If you live at home, thats a 50% reduction in tuition right there. Also scholarships are bogus. Even if you have good SAT scores, if you are not a minority, you wont get it.

I had a mind to go into Psychology after taking a few classes in college and enjoying them. I had a male professor who really made the classes interesting and came at things from a practical point of view. I didn’t go into that field of study because at some point I had to do a lab, which was run by a female graduate student. I didn’t like her much, she was ditzy and actually badmouthed the professor that I was taking classes from. She said something akin to “ he’s a behavioralist. There’s so much more to psychology than what he’s teaching. Once you get passed him you get into the good stuff”.

I’m glad I listened to her, because she essentially told me that I would hate all the BS that she was enjoying since I was enjoying the stuff she despised. I mean really, everything she said when translated into man language was “Why would you want to analyze and attempt to fix real problems when you could just forever talk about but never solve those problems?” Years later, I learned that psychology was a female dominated field and much of it was pointless drivel that females thrive on. I’m too headstrong, blunt, and argumentative to ever have made it in through those classes. Bitches would’ve been butthurt to power of 10, and I would’ve probably been expelled or had an accusation made against me something just so they could get me gone.

The thing is, if you can stick with it then there is a lot of good you can do in that field. For yourself and for a slew of men who could use some non-feminized psychological help. It has become funny, over the years when somebody is talking about seeing a shrink, counselor, or whatever...the first question I ask is “Are they male or female?”. And if it’s a female, I tell that person that they aren’t going to get any help from that and are just going to waste their time talking. Men really need more male psychologists out there, and you could help a lot of men get through some serious problems. A man cannot even talk to a female psychologist nowadays without being labeled toxically masculine or a threat to this or that. Either way you choose, I wish you the best of luck. But if you think about what happens when women are allowed to dominate a field, it all goes downhill. More men going into that field would only help balance it out, and you could be successful because you might actually help some people where the majority of the women just aren’t any help at all.

I try to get to class early and sit in front (if that's possible). State your opinion and ignore who's behind you. Speak up, fuck em if they don't like it. Your only speaking to the instructor and no one else. I suppose the instructor is female? It sucks but what are you going to college for? All the expense and time. Make the most of it.

I hope the class is only a required general elective and you are in a STEM program.

i work in the STEM field and saw some foreign college transcripts, alot don't have general humanities requirements, Its all math and science. In American, the accreditation boards require humanities and electives, it make us well rounded adults :)

Wanna hear something worse? I had to attend "Gender Development" classes back in 2nd year college and it was nothing but "Patriarchy bad feminism good. I obviously know what the guy was talking about (oh great, a male professor teaching hoe women have it harder boohoo I know) and one class meeting there was nothing but pictures with messages and almost all of them the class was completely stomped and don't know what the fq the picture means. It was a man in business attire going into a hole in the wall in his image while on the other side is the same thing a woman trying to fit in the same shape hole but can't because she's holding a baby. The professor asks us what does it mean and I opted not to answer for a while. He kept it up for five minutes and I lost my patience got up and answered what he wanted to hear saying "women are in a disadvantage in the corporate world" and he then asked me why to which I answered "well based on the picture I'd say it's because it's hard to balance work and being a mother" he backed off a bit obviously thinking I'm going to drop a traditionalist answer he wouldn't like; stopped me mid sentence to ask me : Why would companies want to hire a man over a woman? Took me a minute he just kept pointing at the baby in the picture and it hit me "because the company would have to pay for her maternity leave and other benefits" to with he made the class give me a standing ovation.

Needless to say I was disgusted at myself for having a male feminist professor look at me as a "hero". Not gonna wallow in it though, got the highest grade in class at the end of the semester. I was just glad it was over

I think you have to pick your fights. In hollywood I am sure not all the guys believe the sjw crap but pretend to so they can make good money. Its better to not stick out and just get what you came there to get and leave. Is the prof doing this too or is it just the students? If the prof's doing it and there's an evaluation at the end of the semester or quarter, you can criticize the prof in the evaluation. Take notes of what happens in class that's discriminatory or where the prof fails to keep the class on track or where you think she's going to punish you for diverging from the narrative. Put as much as you can in the evaluation without losing anonymity, and mark the prof down as much as is warranted.

If it's coming from the students and not the prof, then you can blame the prof only for not taking control. But if it's coming from the prof then take her to task on the evaluation.

Also if you're worried about the students's responses, prepare yourself by anticipating what you're going be hit with and how to respond to it. Usually it's not so much what you say as it is whether you can hold frame.
