Dating apps aren't supposed to pair for LTR's. They help in getting the people to meet, but they have no control or relevance to whether or not those meetings actually work or result in a relationship. People are still going to pick and choose regardless of how the app is structured to match people.

Americans in the early and mid-20th century seemed to match people fairly well for LTR's, and they didn't even need an app. However, that was bad because those who were matched didn't really have a choice. Imagine a dating app like that.

No one will want to use such an app. People like control. They want to control what kind of pictures they show, what information to reveal and what age range to aim for.

The percentile score will hurt one's feelings and drive most of the customer base away. Some highly attractive people who don't want to be in a relationship will abuse it for validation purposes.

make everyone fill out a ton of questions about their personality, lifestyle, demographic data, dating/sexual history, etc. send in some spit so you can run a full genetic profile. tell them you have a powerful quantum supercomputer running an AI designed by a team of the world's top relationship experts that can comb through all this data and find the perfect match for anyone.

hype it up hard. this fuckin computer is guaranteed to find your soulmate. warn them that it might be awkward at first, you may have some disagreements and hit some rough patches. but that's true of all great relationships. if you stick it out and make an effort to get to know this person, spend time with each other, do things together, eventually you'll click.

then just pair people randomly.

Ok I got a couple of ideas ranked best to worst by LTR viability

Dating App called WallHopper. Icon is a Mexican frog. It's where people pay to find green card marriage fraud participants. So that's like a 5 year LTR minimum.
ShariaMeet Dating app for Muslims. Icon is a hog surfing on a crescent. Dudes gotta pick hidjab hotties from eyes alone.
HwytMingle Icon is white power ranger. moderate income passable looking beta nerds and Baby Rabie 32-34 year old wall slammers. Ideology and child should keep them together for at least 2-5 years.

I've thought about this before. I think it would be hard to actually get people to use an app designed for LTR, since the gamification is a huge part of why people use tinder etc to begin with.

However, based on swipes and frequency + length of messages sent and received, you could easily estimate the attractiveness of profiles. When there is a large attractiveness discrepancy between the man and the woman (where the man is the most attractive), you could have some sort of function to let the woman know that the man likely wants something casual. When attractiveness is equal, you could estimate likeliness of wanting something serious as high.

You'd need a pretty advanced neural network for this, lots of experimentation (of an ethically dubious nature) for it to learn, team of relationship/demographic to initially calibrate it and LOTS of data, again, probably unethically obtained

The first thing you need a sizeable pay-wall (with an appropriate refund policy). People who are serious about finding an LTR - even and especially women - are not adverse to putting some money on the table to find a quality partner for a relationship measured in years rather than single-digit fuck sessions.

Second is that it can't all be done online as there has to be some sort of face-to-face to verify identities and confirm other information. This doesn't involve much more than a trip to a notary public's or lawyer's office.

If you are going to use hard science personality matching then you need access to that research as well as professional testing administrators. Online tests are bullshit for any number of reasons, including "answers by committee" where a bunch of people sit there and try to figure out what the answers should be.

To the extent that you are not using a scientific (computerized) algorithm, there has to be "matchers", people who assess compatibility.

There is a marketing saying that "choice creates empowerment, but too much choice creates confusion" so the result can neither be completely self-directed, nor can it be presenting clients with a short list that is too small.

Note that the first two criteria would sideline about 80% of those looking for LTRs and 95%+ of those claiming to be looking for LTRs.

If you want an app that is free and basically anonymous then you have OKC, which rates compatibility based on people's own answers to thousands of questions. The problem is that people lie about anything and everything.

Its funny, because those LTR type apps have categories like salary range, goals in life, occupation, education etc.

So both actually get to filter out and match with people with common goals, interests etc.

I never really used these programs, but isn't there already a dating service which is known for its indepth analysis of the members?

To join app everyone would have to submit a set of basic pictures. Straight on headshot, full body shot, full profile shot, all in natural lighting.

You should require they send in naked pictures. These will only be evaluated by an AI, which will generate an overall pretty-score. (and if the company goes bust, you can always pivot and sell the naked pictures to some porn site)
