Properly used, the Socratic method isn't a "gotcha" tactic. However, it can easily be misused with leading and loaded questions to become a gotcha tactic. It really depends on the question, which wasn't supplied. Could you elaborate on the question(s) you asked and the responses you received?

Many BPers are too dumb to understand what is going on, but they feel themselves being beaten on an emotional level, so they get angry and fling shit regardless of whether it makes sense in an effort to stop it.
