It's what's going on in their work environment and it's important to them. We hear about it because they have a platform. But the point of the # metoo campaign was to show the same kind of thing happens to ordinary women.

So too does the world of the very physically attractive, or very charismatic, or those high in social status have fairly little to do with the world of those that aren't. It's about like looking at the lives of the poorest of the poor, or the richest of the rich, and thinking it holds some relevance for Joe and Jane Average. It doesn't. It may shine a light on certain parts of the human condition, but it doesn't offer any insight into the life of the average person.

I stopped listening to people like that a while ago. People jumping on that kind of bandwagon are whining busybodies. I couldnt care less that some Hollywood stars groped some women. Makes no difference to me. I dont use Twitter at all so hashtags dont effect me either. Had a break from reddit as well and it refreshed me, made me see what a waste of time all this is.

I've experienced sexual misconduct by people who were a couple of levels above me at work, not rockstar celebrities. Highlighting celebrities is a way of showing how pervasive of an issue it is.
