I think we can't deny the fact that RP has become popular among internet users, both in the sense that many adhere to it and that it is known, going so far as to appear in mainstream media (Defined here as: TV and newspapers that is watched/read by all demographic groups). An example would be how Roosh V (Is that correctly spelled?) gained prominence by touring around the world.

Now, this kind of thought is not new. Dont forget that movie about different people's lives starring Tom Cruise, Magnolia, in which he was a guy giving speeches about "How to tame the cunt". All his words are exactly the same that we can read today over at TRP. Mind you, the movie dates back from 1999.

And if we talked with someone about what he (tom cruise's character) said in that same year, we would hear "Oh yes there's a lot of people who's saying this for a long while".

Thing is, the people you see in the movie who assist to the speech....aren't young people. Internet these days has granted mass access to information, and now that aggregate sites can let people get together and share their common stuff we have the seeds for TRP. When you mix a lot of young people who are having trouble dating or hitting it with women (It seems the "chad" thing is universal, even here in Argentina where 2-3 guys would get all the attention from our class girls), pick up artists wanting to get an audience and free forums, you end up getting TRP.

Why it could be of use to some people? Well, I'm going to use my case as an example. I didn't have anything with a girl until I was 18 and I was raised the old good "Treat women with respect. Open the doors for them. Dont say anything uneducated or dirty in front of them yada yada" and even though I was 18 (a little bit before meeting my first GF) and I knew what my mother said was kinda bullshit and at the same time right (Because she never defined what constituted RESPECT and, anyway, we should RESPECT everybody regardless of their gender. Also, she never talked about how I should be respected in case of a girl not doing that) I followed these maxims in an unconsciously way, turning me into a, lets admit it: Boring and uninteresting person in the eyes of most women.

Whenever they teased with a sexual innuendo or did something "Not respectful" It would stress the shit out of me and make me uncomfortable. You can't be "yourself" when you are in such a situation and you end up saying something really stupid or looking like someone who can't handle himself in society. More so if it was in front of other guys.

Bottom line: We end up (And I say "we" because from what I've read it seems my upbringing is quite similar to many others') becoming people unable to flirt back with the other gender.

And that creates some frustration. A lot of if we also think we aren't attractive both physically and personally (personality?).

So TRP tries to fix that. It gives men some tools to handle (How to text. IDGAF attitude towards non serious relationships. How to give out clues of interest. How to read certain actions) themselves when it comes down to trying to answer back or communicate interest in a girl. Because you can't simply walk towards a girl who's reading something in your university and say "You. Me. Fuck?". Humanity has had like 4000 years of social development, and with that also came development in dialogue. So there are indirect messages that some people aren't keen on picking up. Remember Seinfeld and the "I cant drink coffee at late night"? Well, exactly that.

Ok, these kind of tips have also existed for a long time. But the difference is that they now explicitly address the sexual component of human relationships and from a men's POV and it's directed to the target I said before.

And why it might be dangerous to others? Because if you don't have a strong or informed worldview on how men and women relate to each other, it's very probable you are going to end up buying most of the bullshit that is sold in that sub. This bullshit is also known as misogyny and stupid economic views.

Because some guys will buy the full combo. The sexual relationships and dating advice is sometimes correct and useful (I say SOMETIMES because it seems some idiots think it's ok to adhere to "No means yes"), yet the other theories such as "Women shouldn't belong to the office because they aren't as productive as men" or "Society is biased towards women" or "Trump is going to be a strong president because GRAB EM BY THE PUSSY/ Sanders is a cuckold, he will be the end of our nation/ A woman can't be a president (hahaha bitch please ask Merkel)" might sound logical if you read the premises, but if you actually go out into the world or read other things (Ie: actual academic stuff), you'll find up that it's bullshit (Note: Most or some of the guys out there in TRP don't seem to know this).

So, having said this, what do you think? AGREE OR DISAGREE? Firing squad or exile?
