Is parts of the U.K. Making "misogyny" a hate crime simply sexist?

That feminists are crazy (which they are)

[–]betterdeadthanbetaHeartless cynical bastard17 points18 points19 points 9 years ago (20 children) | Copy Link

Shitlord. Cant you see its harmless tomfoolery. Just like someone saying "kill all jews" or "kill all niggers" is harmless. If anything those brave souls who have the courage to say "kill all the men" should be lauded by society for having the courage to shake things up and go against the prevailing narrative.

Grrrrl power!

[–]ProbablyBelievesIt2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago* (19 children) | Copy Link

And then you go to read #KillAllMen, and realize it's not literal. Meanwhile, hardly anyone freaks out about #KillAllWomen existing, despite some dudes really trying their best on that front.

If we wanted to talk about rhetoric inspiring violence, we'd instead look at "beta revolution.", because some edgelord 14 year old shits had to tell the omegas/scariest assholes they were disposable, unless they behaved like sociopaths.

[–]disposable_pants4 points5 points6 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

hardly anyone freaks out about #KillAllWomen existing, despite some dudes really trying their best on that front.

What men are "really trying their best" to literally kill all women?

[–]ProbablyBelievesIt0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I'm referencing the fact that there have been mass shootings where women were the primary targets of men. There were also mass murders where men were the primary targets, but men generally run them, and they know better than to tie their sex lives into it. If anything, it's more likely they'd declare war to draw attention away from their sex lives.

[–]disposable_pants3 points4 points5 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm referencing the fact that there have been mass shootings where women were the primary targets of men.

Examples? Unless there are quite a few, I'm not convinced that there's any meaningful number of men who are "really trying their best" to kill all women.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

And then you go to read #KillAllMen, and realize it's not literal

Despite for some it is.

[–]ProbablyBelievesIt0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Like?

[–]betterdeadthanbetaHeartless cynical bastard7 points8 points9 points 9 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

some edgelord 14 year old shits had to tell the omegas/scariest assholes they were disposable, unless they behaved like sociopaths.

And you deny that? Omegas can only command pussy when they band together and oppress others through force. In a sexual free for all, sluts and Chads reign supreme, while undersexed incel cocks are left to wither on the vine.

[–]ProbablyBelievesIt1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

And you deny that?

Yes, because it's an argument based on present tense only.

Omegas can only command pussy when they band together and oppress others through force.

Or they can stop making excuses and get their shit together. There's nothing preventing them from developing more pro-social traits. Some betas and some alphas were former omegas who started making healthier decisions and actually talking to women.

There'd probably be more, except only a small minority of men are true omegas to begin with, rather than just going through a "Letting themselves go" phase, after they've been burned, get complacent, or find an addiction that sidetracks them.

[–][deleted] 8 points9 points10 points 9 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

That are getting their shit together. So you know how much organisation a school shooting requires? You have to find ammo that fits in your gun and everything

[–]ProbablyBelievesIt-1 points0 points1 point 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

And learn how to eat a bullet too. But lead exposure can cause serious health risks, and quick fix diets almost never work anyways.

Is it really a better option than work-outs, meditation, and guided practice with social situations?

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Maybe if low tier men weren't shamed so hard by literally everyone they would feel they had a future worth working for.

[–]ProbablyBelievesIt4 points5 points6 points 9 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

I was an incel. Those arguments aren't going to work on me.

It hurts to be on the outside, and yes, there are people who will go out of their way to rub salt into those wounds. And then light you on fire.

But when I went to a gym, everyone was friendly. When I started talking to men and women in places where they wanted to talk to random strangers, most people were (surprise!) friendly.

Most of the problems, turned out to be my own. Because of my abuse, I was wired to see the worst in everyone. I still am - it's survival instinct. It's why friendly people terrify me. But it's okay to be scared. Breathe deep. Try again. And again. And again.

There will be times you fail. There will be cringe moments so agonizing, you'll wish with all your heart that the sun would explode and wipe out all traces of the event.

But you get back on your feet, and make use of what you learned - maybe your next set of spectacular failures aren't so bad. One by one, you grind them all away. And one day, you run out of bad options. So, you start developing the good. And when you prove you've got the goods, over and over, word gets out - eventually, people start requesting you. Keep it up, and you're in demand.

Then you get a whole new set of problems to worry about.

And so it goes.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Those arguments aren't going to work on me.

They may not work on you, but its not like this hasn't been studied. Look at every school shooting which has nearly been all men/boys and you find they all pretty much have the same things in common. Its pretty well studied actually. Just because you didn't blow up doesn't mean the arguments won't work on you.

It's why friendly people terrify me.

Hey normal looking people scare me.

[–]alcockell5 points6 points7 points 9 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

No joke when Julie Bindel is echoing Mary Daly, Valerie Solanas etc and seriously calling for the massacre of men..

[–]ProbablyBelievesIt5 points6 points7 points 9 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Dear misogynist trolls I'm going to make things easier for you – save u some time. All men are rapists and should be put in prison then shot

Wow, she's so totally meaning it too! WE DON'T STAND A CHANCE! I'M SCARED! HOLD ME!

Edit. 5 seconds of research reveals that trolls were strawmanning this article.

[–]alcockell3 points4 points5 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Having a Star Chamber similar to under the Terrorism Act, with no checks and balances is as dangerous. As the UK does NOT have a right to silence.

We are in Witch trial times... unless Wendy mcElroy's comments are taken seriously.

[–]alcockell4 points5 points6 points 9 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link

Remember my history - I was silenced for 30 years by my female rapists threatening to cry rape if I talked...

This is blackmailer's charter, with the backing of a Star Chamber.

Seriously.

And based on Mary Daly, Valerie Solanas, and Cath Comins - the nightmare scenario of an SA80 at my head for the crime of being born male is becoming terrifyingly real.

And I would not DREAM of forcing myself on ANYONE!.

Bindel is a TERF - can we get the TERFs to shut the fuck up?

[–]ProbablyBelievesIt3 points4 points5 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Remember my history - I was silenced for 30 years by my female rapists threatening to cry rape if I talked...

Remember mine - I was raped, and I was terrified of the same.

It creates scars. And nobody will know what it's like, to experience a life or death threat when reading just words, unless they suffer from that kind of PTSD.

But it's not real.

You're looking at the worst possible case, and thinking it's all part of the design, instead of seeing other victims, other survivors, going through their own hells, afraid of their own worst case scenarios.

[–]alcockell0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Maybe - it's just all really confusing...

That we live in a girl power age and that men are disposable.

[–]questioningwomandetached from society-1 points0 points1 point 9 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

No we live in the age of the backlash with all these people assuming the worst of women.

[–][deleted] 11 points12 points13 points 9 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

You have to do something for people to backlash against in the first place...

[–]questioningwomandetached from society0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

But I didn't do anything but people assume the worst. So why shouldn't I be angry?

[–][deleted] 8 points9 points10 points 9 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

You can be angry. What you can't do is expect anyone else to give a shit that you are angry or expect to be treated differently because of it. Because that won't happen

[–]questioningwomandetached from society-1 points0 points1 point 9 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

In other words, I should just ACCEPT people exaggerating about me or saying horrible things WITHOUT giving me the change to speak? Some of these people need to get the last word in and violent if you actually explain yourself. Being angry at them shows them they aren't getting away with it. It also makes it much easier to cut them out of your life because you make them so pissed they could go a lifetime without contacting you.

[–][deleted] 9 points10 points11 points 9 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

All getting angry does it shows the people you disagree with that you disagree with them. If someone gets angry with me for something I believe my first reaction is to think they're a dickhead and become more entrenched in my views.

[–]questioningwomandetached from society0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

But many people would still have those views about the other person no matter what they did. Even if they calmly explained the situation. Some people are unwilling to take explanations and then exaggerate everything to believe whatever they want to believe. If people are unwilling to take explanations, what's the point in not being angry with them?

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

What's the point in being angry with them? Being angry is an unpleasant emotion, you dont gain anything from it and it doesn't hurt them in any way so why do it?

[–]questioningwomandetached from society-1 points0 points1 point 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

To release my emotions, to punish them for being horrible people, and to make them hate me so much they either give up trying to talk badly about me or never contact me again.

[–]DaphneDKKing of LBFM11 points12 points13 points 9 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

Yes. It's acceptable. We don't need more cuddling of public sentiments. KILL ALL GIRLS is also acceptable and rape jokes are fun.

Hyper sensitive feminism has to end.

[–]shoup88Report me bitch0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Do you think that condemning feminist jokes like "KILL ALL MEN" or "I drink male tears" is the best way to go about this, or is everyone too damn sensitive?

[–]DarkLord0chinChin0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

like you know, if men really wanted, we could kill all women overnight

[–]shoup88Report me bitch0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I think that if women really wanted, they could kill all men overnight. Nighttime is probably the easiest time of day for unexpected mass murder.

Is it acceptable to reverse the genders and say kill all women? Theres your answer, and also why feminism is a fucking joke, literally.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

Well who decides what gifs are put there? Do Facebook have to make them or are they community sourced?

If they're uploaded by the users this is pretty meaningless, but if FB is responsible for what gifs show up they should at least have one for killing the women for the sake of equality.

[–]midnightvulpine-2 points-1 points0 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

It isn't appropriate, but Facebook is a private site and decides what is appropriate for their site. I suppose you're also against all online bullying, the hateful stuff coming out of other sites like 4chan and the like as well, right?

Because we don't want to be hypocritical on this serious matter. There is a lot of shitty speech online. But you know what? That's the negative side of free speech. Some people will get to say things you think are dangerous. Your recourse is to report it to Facebook. They'll decide if it's appropriate for their site and you can decide then if you want to associate with them based on their response.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Those gifs are pulled from a completely separate API, probably giphy. Facebook has no control, or very very limited control over what shows up there.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

This answers the important question.

And a quick google tells me that giphy is for user generated content.

The answer then is for anyone who is mad about this to make and upload a kill all women gif to giphy and use it a lot in FB Messenger so it becomes popular and shows up in the top search results for "women."

[–]tallwheelManosphere Unificationist1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

"Do-it-yourself" would certainly be the most efficient way, but no. Usually it is women getting men to kill other men. That's women's preferred method for killing men.
