Every time I have ever seen a guy go with the "There is more to life than women" post he usually get eviscerated by the rest of TRP with the standard reply being "This is a sub about sexual strategy so if you don't like it leave."
This is blatantly false. I have seen it mentioned hundreds of times that the most important factor to being successful with women is putting yourself into environments where you have the opportunity to be sexually successful with women.
This just sounds like you reworded number 2. But I'll take a stab and say that TRP tries to be descriptive not prescriptive. The reason for this is because every individual's circumstance is different. It's easier to identify a bunch of collective problems than it is to prescribe hundreds of thousands of personalized solutions. It's presumed that any man with a logical mind can come up with his own solutions once he has been given the root causes of his problems.
This I agree. But this is simply due to the nature of the internet and not TRP. I'd say less than 40% of the stories posts on most subs is true.

How I imagine this: There is a guy, he starts to work out, dress nicely, becomes charming, then sits around and wonders where all his girls are, and somehow he doesn't think to himself "Hmm, maybe I should go outside or to a club with many women"

I don't agree that just being around women is enough. I mean sure if you have no opportunities to even talk to or meet females then you can't even get off the ground, that is true, but it's very possible and I would argue not even all that unusual for some men to be surrounded by women and still be sexless.

I am one of those men. Another guy I know is as well and he's actually got it even worse than me as he's a full on virgin. Both of us are in programs of study that are over 60% female. In addition I have been on over a dozen dates mostly through dating apps in the last year. I have no troubles holding a good conversation with women, but rarely ever get any second dates and have never had a third. I've been several dates as well with women that I met at social functions such as happy hours as well. It's obvious that there is more to the equation than mere opportunity.

I kind of agree with you. There's something like 140K subs on TRP. I'd estimate only 5%-10% of those people are actually living as "alpha males"

Another 50% is trying to get there (maybe they spoke to a girl this week or hooked up on tinder or something) - they started going to the gym etc

Then another 40-45% are just MGTOW / losers who hate women. I think TRP attracts a lot of losers because the rhetoric is that you don't need women's validation, so guys who have no chance in hell of getting that validation flock to TRP to feel better about themselves.

You don't need their validation, but that's no excuse to be a loser.

I agree with all of these things, but number 4 really stands out.

If the stories were true, they would read differently, it would be less like a badly written novel and more like a day out where you explain every little detail, even though the details are boring.

TRP is largely an information source. Saying "there is more to life than women", is a perfectly valid piece of information.

Overall, the hookup culture is a tough game to play for most any guy. It's not a bad thing to suggest other outlets.
