They bitch if you force them to work, bitch if you don't allow them to work, and bitch if you give them an option. Damn I miss Hitchens. He never bowed to women, admitted when he was wrong, and stuck to his opinion when he wasn't.

Also check out his controversy on women not being funny.

Hitchens was a great contrarian.

"What has been the achievement of my essay? It has been to make sexier women try harder to amuse me. Well that was my whole plan to start off with." he said with a knowing smirk

Fucking brilliant and amazing.

Look at how closely this parallels the points Patrice O'neal (R.I.P.) makes in this video.

Brilliant man who didn't stand for bullshit.

Thanks for sharing.

Holy fucking shit. I can't get over this woman's mouth-agape shock at this patently harmless statement. "If they don't want to, they shouldn't." There's literally nothing controversial about that. Note that she was horrified before he snidely said "they're the fairer sex for a reason." The femtard culture is...pervasive.

Hitchens has been featured here multiple times with that video, but also with his piece "Women Aren't Funny", http://www.vanityfair.com/culture/features/2007/01/hitchens200701

which of course had some pouting responses, to which Hitchens adressed "Why Women Still Don’t Get It": http://www.vanityfair.com/culture/features/2008/04/hitchens200804

I recommend watching this too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I7izJggqCoA

He was utterly RP, too bad for the world he's gone.

[–]widec4 points5 points6 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The best part of the rebuttal video is around the 3 minute mark, regarding the criticisms. "The salad of letters chosen by the magazines correspondence editors criticizing me made me think I could write a sequel, called "how some women apparently can't even read".

[–]aesthetic-as-fuck 4 points5 points6 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

God damn, of all the worthless pustules that live on, and this guy had to croak. That's all I can think when I stumble upon Hitch YouTubes. His wit and style only comes along a few times a millenium.

[–]whiteskwirl24 points5 points6 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

He said they can work if they want, but they don't have to...how can a woman be offended by that?

[–]larrythetomato6 points7 points8 points 11 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Modern Feminism:

"You are free to choose and do anything you want to do in the world, as long as it follows our rulebook."

Christopher Hitchens has iron strong frame.Watch him tackle a heavily interrupting woman ~around 1minute.

"there is only one cure of poverty and thats empowerment of women"

wtf?

[–]rife_omeqa 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I think he's referring to actual empowerment of women in the third world and not the bullshit feminism we see in the west.

Enticing the stay-at-home gender to enter the workforce is a great way to increase the economic power of a nation.

That being said; seeing the US Labor statistics from the 1960's to the early 2000's where women entered the workforce without increasing the national GDP has me questioning Hitchen's notion entirely. As it turns out, women are not productive members of the workforce.

Perhaps he's referring to civility?

watched the whole debate. those people are monkeys throwing shit compared to Christopher Hitchens. I don't know what was more remarkable, his brilliant eloquence or the dim stupidity of the primates filling the room around him.

[–]1grendalor1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Hitchens was a treasure, really. Red Pill about pretty much everything in life -- no tolerance for bullshit in any sphere.

[–]galvanised_computer 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

But isn't him saying women shouldn't have to work aligning with sexism that is the product of evolutionary psychology?

[–]3rdLion2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

That man was RP to the absolute core.

Edit: Also listen to him talk about women not being funny, it's fantastic.

[–]GregariousWolf0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Hitch was his own man, which is more than you can say for a lot of people.

[–]Perch11 point 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Great writer. Great man. We miss you, Hitch.

[+]the99percent1-11 points-10 points-9 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Hitchens may have been RP, but the shit he said was more often polarizing than attractive..

And let's just say that he turned off more women than he attracted. Do not share your thoughts like how Hitchens did.. Learn to keep it to yourself.

[–]waylandertheslayer-1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Even if he turned off 4 times as many women as he attracted, having 20% of women you meet wanting to bang you is a pretty good success rate.

[–]SgtTRP-4 points-3 points-2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is true. And Hitchens was a bad role model (for TRP and in general IMO). If we evaluate him in the 5 stages of unplugging he was definitely in the anger phase. Contrast Hitchens with Dawkins (compare their manner of argumentation) you'll see what I mean.
