18 Qualities Every Alpha Woman Should Look For In A Boyfriend

This article came up on my Facebook, two girls congratulating each other for their unique personalities, sharing this. Ironically they're both FAR from the powerful woman described in this article.

Elite Daily tries to spin into existence a female called the "Alpha Female". Described as:

The most dangerous lie is one that is barely distinguishable from the truth. As I read this article I would start nodding in agreement with a point, then suddenly feel that something was wrong. As I got to the end I didn't know if I agreed or disagreed with the points made.

Let's break it down.

First, this article claims to lay out the groundwork for a relationship between two 10s. The woman in this case is career focused and successful at it: a yuppie. This woman is probably quite high value, and she's looking for a man who is also very high value. Words used like "stoic", "rock", "in control", etc.

Unfortunately the women reading this are not all high value. The girls sharing this article on my FB page are not high value. One is grossly overweight and one is attractive, but is known to have a high partner count. However, they both believe they need an "Alpha Male". This continues to contribute to the Entitlement Attitude that a lot of girls have.

Second, this article has a lot of role reversal. The woman described is sometimes a man. The man described sometimes is an EXTREMELY in control woman. The author wants the man to be the supporter in this relationship, to be quiet and to let his girlfriend run wild while he picks up her purse and coat at the end of the night. ("He wants to be the wind beneath your wings." "He prefers to let you lead.")

There are some common sense points made (common sense in RP circles). He's strong, confident, don't take her shit, etc. But there is still a lot of "don't question me" nonsense and women feeling there are some things that are free from scrutiny . The article paints a power couple; he seems to have a lot going on but she's still got all the baggage. "She dates as many males as she wants", "you can't air her dirty laundry" (but she can air yours to her "BFF"), "he can't question my work husband".

I've done my best to analyze some of this article, but it's hard to pull the weeds out when they're growing around the wheat. There's a lot of nonsense in there, maybe you guys can see more in there.
