Why are men so blue pilled on money and status?

Yes it is obvious if you observe MARRIAGES, as well, not just hook-ups. We all know that women like to hook-up with attractive men (masc DOM white alpha jocks with thick bone structure). But attractive people have attractive spouses. Rich people do not necessarily have attractive spouses...

I am an actuary. My friends are mostly middle class to upper middle class professionals -- engineers, accountants, actuaries, software developers, doctors, etc. In this case, you see, almost uniformly, attractive men with attractive women, average men with average women, ugly men with ugly women. So, a middle class/upper class salary (80k to 500k, which is a wide range, but I think covers the low end and high end of salaried careers) is not enough to attract 'hot' women if you are ugly.

But, as I said, I am an actuary, in a non-traditional role (private capital management). In my position, I work with a lot of high-net worth individuals -- so, I have exposure to people much richer than me. Now, even here, most of the men have wives who are are looks-matched with them -- some of this is pragmatic, I am sure, because they would rather marry a plain intelligent girl with an MBA from Northwestern than some dumb, but hot, waitress or stripper. But, on the other hand, I feel that, almost invariably, the LIKE marries LIKE holds true, and that physical attraction pretty much is set in stone, and will determine how hot you can date/marry.

FWIW, I make a very good salary for an older millennial (30 years old) in a second-tier city ($140k base this year, bonus likely in the range of $10k), and it has NEVER EVER helped me attract women.

A lot of normal people talk about behavior they just can't understand since they're normal. The richer you start becoming, the less and less impact spending money has on you. It's an obvious truth, but people don't internalize it. They also don't understand just how true it is.

Let's say someone makes just $13,000/month after taxes. And let's say he is "used" by a woman to buy her dinner and a few drinks, call it $200. Let's say that happens 30 times a month. 30 times 200 = $6,000. He still has $5,000 left after going out 30 times that month and having a socially good time. He didn't fuck, but he got to meet all these "users", laugh, tell stories, and hear stories. And after all that, he still has $5,000. Take out expenses, he may still have $500 or $1000. Again, he has that as extra money after expenses and after partying 30 days and being used each and every time.

Now let's say someone has 50 million dollars. I'm hoping you see just how inconsequential $800 is.

Giving when it's no skin off your back is festive and opens people up to experiences, makes people smile, and makes for a socially good time.

The above example was a bit far-fetched (30 nights, all being used for $200 a night), but it was only that way to stress the point. What if I make only $10k/month and waste about $200/week buying drinks for friends and chicks? Ok, now I only have 9.2k/month to work with, and again, I still had all those festivities.

Personally, when I go out with my friends, I buy them -- men and women -- a round of drinks here and there. They'll do the same in return. It's just a good time.

I think you will find that these guys get banged enough by gold diggers that it is effective in their eyes. I've slept with enough girls because I had access to drugs that I think this kind of behavior is not that uncommon.

this is because they don't understand female attraction to men (game). they only understand that women are not as thirsty as men, and happen to like money. many men thus advertise their BB qualities and get stuck in their ways over time.
