OK,

A bit of complicated inter sub politics went on here.

First, when MRP got created a load of RPW and TRP mods came piling over into the new sub and were concern trolling. So MRP mods banned a lot of TRP and RPW mods in the brouhaha. Including RedPillSchool.

Ultimately, they were unbanned. But as MRP was about 500 at the time and RPW 10k we had to put some rules in place to stop MRP becomming the "RPW married sub" rather than the "Male married sub" that they wanted it to be.

We jumped the other way to TRP and insisted women identify themselves, in opposition to TRP's don't identify, because MRP felt it important to know if the advice for married guys was coming from married guys or married women.

As such MRP rules were created, RPW's and other female were asked to identify themselves, and they were also asked to comport themselves in line with Cpt/FO model. Not that we are "their captains" we are not, but that the chicks should address MRP as though addressing a "council of captains". Thats where that line came from. It's an attempt to say you can come here an post, but this is the male site and not the female site. We run this place, thanks.

Not very happy with that rule personally (it keeps MrsTGP from posting, because she refuses to comport herself that way). But it is the subs rule and was since very shortly after MRP started up.

As part of the brouhaha MRP got excommunicated from the RedPillSchool subs. It's why we aren't linked on sidebar.

Much later, MRP had got much bigger... 3500-4000 active users... And the RPW's started experiencing the reverse problem. TRPers (a little) and MRPers (a lot) coming over to THEIR sub and (just as with ours) Starting a lot of threads "I'm not an RPW, I'm a man from MRP, But I think...."

This wore thin on the RPW's after a while, we were kinda fucking over their sub a bit (as they had done to ours in the early days). Just as they had been making our male sub look/work like a female sub.... Now we were making their female sub look like a male sub.

RPW and MRP mods had a chin wag... And MRP put a sticky post up saying "Leave the girls sub alone, stop fucking with them. Let the girls have their site as they more or less allow us to have ours. Don't go posting on RPW unless you have a damn good reason"

Order to the universe was restored.

There are a few more wrinkles in it but thats the gist.

So the current ruleset for sex across the subs is...

TRP = Anyone can post. Do not identify yourself as female.

RPW = Females mainly. Men can post (?), but don't take over our sub please.

MRP = Men mainly. Women can post, but please identify yourself as female and be aware you are addressing a mens site dealing with mens married issues and comport yourself in line with that (the CoC rules).

Oh, I assumed you were talking about the actual RP principles and theories.

Meh, even if RPW agrees with TRP on its basic "principles", it certainly doesn't agree with the severity to which it is expressed. Which is good, considering all the toxic "anger phase" bullshit that gets spewed out on a daily basis.

I don't think "mansplaining" was the reason (wtf is mansplaining anyway).

According to Google, "mansplaining" is to:

(of a man) explain (something) to someone, typically a woman, in a manner regarded as condescending or patronizing.

Hence, all the unwelcome "man here" comments. I dunno, it's a funny internet-SJW word.

I'm calling huge bullshit on the "council of captains" part. That's some next level neckbearding.

Well, it was a rational response to the issue at the time.

As I said above, I don't particul;arly agree, and this is why (despite spending 80% of her browsing time on MRP MrsTGP doesn't comment there).

You have to be clear. We are not claimning to be their captain they have their own, we do not expect them to treat us as though we are their captains. It's a way of phrasing "Remember you are on the male site, and should be constantly aware of that fact" rather than treating MRP like an "all sexes" site.

I don't like the phrasing either, but the mods do, and they're the ones dealing with all the shit so I support them phrasing it that way.

Ther eis also a "Both Sexes Married Sub" available outside of reddit with a large userbase. This is Athol Kay's MMSL Forums. It's exclusive monogamy focussed, and I'd say 60:40 F/M in representation.
