Does Feminism offer any benefits for Men? If so, what are they?

I read in 2xc that calling out sexism against women benefits men. The absolute dumbest thing I have ever heard how feminism benefits men. I obviously called her out be saying men never do this. This is how you get your ass kicked.

My personal opinion: It's a tough call, but I would say a huge pitfall of feminism is for guys who have trouble getting girls, it makes it a lot harder because it introduces a harem/ hookup culture, where a small percentage of males get the most girls sex and the vast majority only get a couple of girls or no sex at all.

Wouldn't you say that was largely due to 'the pill'? And also the hippie culture (as kids rejected their parents belief systems and realized their parents generation was destroying the environment) made them also reject the strict life paths their parents took?

IMO it benefited very attractive men more than women overall, as it made sexually accessing tons of girls much easier. It probably played a role in making it easier for men to become nurses, however, the raw economics have more to do with that IMO.

I'm sure it does, but why should it either way? That's like asking if women having the right to vote benefits men at all. As long as it doesn't HINDER men it doesn't matter.

I'm not a feminist but :

1)I think feminism might have made things easier for working class families. Families that would struggle before , can rely on two incomes now. Feminism did correlate with a rise in the standard of living in general.

2)It has probably made things easier for gay or naturally feminine men .

3)Transgenders.

4)The sexual revolution. Of course it didn't only happen because of feminism , but a lot of men view it as a positive thing.

better relationships or sex with women

Well, when I was a feminist, I believed that equality meant not being passive in a potential relationship. I still believe in paying my way for dates and that men shouldn't be obligated to make the first move, so I have approached all of the men I've been interested in dating. Sure sometimes I felt like men just went along with me because I was "easy", but that's a consequence of choosing to do what I think is the right thing, I guess? I typically like more introverted nerdy guys who are less likely to be assertive with women too, and I think they liked that I tried not to beat around the bush waiting for them to make the first move. If every feminist thought that way, I think it would be a benefit for men who aren't that outgoing. Whether feminists feel and act that way I dunno.

What feminism could have been would have offered many benefits. Fighting any inequality would mean fighting to make things better for men in many ways. And ending rigidly enforced gender roles would be great.

Unfortunately feminism as it is is quite accepting of inequality and gender roles that harm men to benefit women.

So I'd have to say no.

I think that men and women benefit from sexual liberation. But I am not sure if feminism benefits men in other any way.

I would have to ask you what you mean by "modern 3rd wave feminism". Most of the time feminism is in the eyes of the beholder. I think eliminating gender stereotypes would be benefitial for men so they don't have to feel like they have to be stoic. I also think people would be more inclusive and have friends with both sexes if they embraced some feminist principles.
