TRPers: What's your personal #1 goal in being RP (if you have one), and what's the #1 most critical part of TRP to you in achieving that goal? Finally, can you list parts of TRP that you find extraneous to achieving that goal?

Before any success I had with women was mostly luck and it was very hit or miss, I didn't really understand how the sexual marketplace worked or why things like social proof for non famous people were important or why women valued them. I had a few vague ideas on how things worked and red pill filled in a lot of pieces of that puzzle. I didn't understand well enough that men and women have different expectations of love and relationships, trp explains this enough so that I won't make the same mistakes I did in the past. After I read year one at The Rational Male I understood where I had gone wrong in all of my previous relationships.

I wanted to have more consistent success with women and trp has filed in a lot of puzzle pieces of how things work so that I think I can achieve this.

The number one thing is understanding where I was going wrong which was not leading in the relationships and expressing too much vulnerability to women.

There are some things in trp that I don't need right now but might need later so I'm glad I learned because they might come in handy later.

That said the things I could do without are the political parts, I'm in this to make my life better and worrying about politics isn't going to do that.

I want to be happy and live a good life. What's necessary for that is liberating myself from the anti-male attitudes and tone-policing, and then feel good about pursuing my goals.

Abundance mentality, not giving a fuck, outcome independence, health, success. In don't know which one is the most important one, but trp helps with all of them.

Most critical part: abundance mentality
Extr...least important: Can't really think of anything. Most core principles of TRP seem to be important. Most of the stuff you would find on trp that is not important is things newbies write about.

Goal: Lustful, enthusiastic sex on tap.

Means: I don't know whether getting in shape or showing the right attitude (cocky, funny, disinvested) will matter more; I'm doing both because why take chances?

Extraneous: Pretty much everything TRP has to say about male virtues and having a mission apart from women (which is not to say I shouldn't give the impression I have one) and the futile MRA stuff and the dead-end MGTOW stuff. The rest of my life works fine, I just want any solid advice I can find about women's drives. Edit: I'm not ruling out thinking about that stuff later when my needs are met, I just find no value in it now.

I'm here for the social narrative. I find the TRPers far more aware of the world in general, not just with respect to females. They don't get twisted up in bleating the same affirming soundbites to each other in an echo chamber, which viciously rejecting any dissent, no matter how small. They actively challenge each other. It is very refreshing.

As for the archetypal TRP lifestyle, it is not compatible with my lifestyle, so I do not actively participate.

1) Goal: Be a better man, be a better husband, be a better father.

2)Critical Area: There are very few parts that haven't provided any use or insights. Married scenario work, MMSLP, MRP are obviously the critical sub-division in RP for me. The single stuff is great for theory, interest and understanding. But for my scenario the meat is in the LTR/Married stuff.

3)Not Interested: MGTOW stuff does not interest. Some of the stuff on male stoicism is no real use to me, because I run heavy chatty natural C/F game. If I see one more "lifting post", Ya know, talking aboutsome really cool lifting thing, I will scoop my eyeballs out with melon baller.

1) be the man I aspire to be. Broad, but I have very high expectations.

2) to be honest, it's the 'don't want to do, do' talks that are prevalent. /u/gaylubeoil would be an example of such a poster. I used to have some bad habits (smoking, alcohol, etc) so this stuff has helped prevent relapse. Obviously the discussions on masculinity have influenced my goals as well.

3) not a whole lot to be honest. Extraneous to me personally are many things because I'm not just starting out. I don't really need advice in professional stuff, gaming, etc. I don't believe that these are extraneous to TRP though. Extraneous to TRP I can't really think of anything, even Men's Rights stuff, not because I am going to take up arms but because I find the information relevant to assessing society as it is, and how it is likely to become. Most likely so far - a 1984 nightmare of pussy acid firing robots with men toiling in sugar mines.

1) To be cultivate my masculinity which was deprived of me as a youngster. 2) Discipline. Be it lifting 4 times a week or focusing on my studies. Cutting out junk activities. 3) Nothing. I find all RP theory to be correct and applicable to my life

Critical Part: Maintain attraction.

Extraneous: The message of being a bachelor forever because it conflicts with goal.

Goal: To be a better man.

Critical Parts: I see that goal as being the generic "good friend, good boyfriend/husband, and good father". There are several critical parts, mainly in discussions of SMV. Keeping it high is crucial to keeping my SO happy. The talk on setting boundaries with my SO is also important, so basically maintaining frame for short but other elements make sense as well.

Extraneous bullshit: FEMINISM! My god, if I could take one thing out of TRP it would be any and all discussions of feminism. Who gives a shit? RP is supposed to be a view on how the world actually is and how you can adapt yourself to be successful in it. Freaking out about every article on feminism is a colossal waste of time.

I'd like to have casual sex with young women throughout my college years and beyond, as a part of cultivating an exciting life.

The most critical part of RP for me is sexual strategy (lifting plus game).

Extraneous parts of RP include basically anything men's rights related. I don't particularly care about society as a whole.
