[spoiler alert] for the movie Alfie..

I saw Alfie a little while ago, and i was curious about how people would react to the situation.

So Alfie's best friend loses his gf because he won't commit. So his friend's girl ends up hanging out with Alfie to see if he can bridge the gap between them. It was pretty innocent, but then they started drinking and they had sex. Right after that she realized how much she enjoyed her ex and runs back to her ex immediately. Alfie's friend knew Alfie was hanging out with the ex, but didn't know about the sex. The next morning he's over joyed and thanks Alfe for the assistance, because his ex came back. Alfie of course doesn't tell his friend what actually happened. So everything is good, until we find out that Alfie impregnated his friend's ex.

This is a pretty shitty situation of course. However, could Alfie's friend legitimately be upset if the sex caused him to get back with his ex? And keep in mind the friend doesn't know that it's Alfie's kid until after she's given birth. The story goes that even the ex doesn't know either, she actually hopes it's not Alfie's friends kid. So in all honestly Alfie brought them together by impregnating his lady, which is actually his friend wanted. Is that what friends are for?
