I, along with many people on BP, have seen a lot of RP posters talk about "token resistance." This is when a woman really does want sex when she verbally says she does not. If I'm wrong on this definition, please correct me, that's just how it seemed from the posts I've read.

My view is that if a man (or woman) gets a verbal no, they should definitely stop immediately without pushing the issue any further. If people did this, the women who really did want sex and we're engaging in token resistance would eventually learn that saying no does in fact get taken as a no. If they want sex badly enough, they will start just saying yes in the first place.

All implicating this will do is protect you from rape accusations. You never know when you could misjudge a "no" and push too far. The downside that I see is that you would not be having sex with a girl that particular night who did actually mean yes, but you would be protecting yourself.

I'd like to have a discussion about what the two sides think about token resistance in general:).
