Contact police, send them screen grabs of the texts, and have them do a wellness check.

Yeah I had a bpd ex do this. She cheated on me so I broke up with her (unfortunately we lived together). She threatened to kill herself everyday and being the beat bucks that I was, I tried to help her and talked her out of it many times. I came home almost everyday to her crying and locking herself in the bathroom with a knife. Whole time she was still talking to guy she cheated on me with (she promised she blocked him) and telling all her friends that I was "being an asshole for no reason." lololololol A week later she was fucking another guy

Morale of the story is live your life and control your happiness. They will use your compassion as a tool to get validation and attention, while they set up a new branch to swing from in the meantime.
