Question: Understanding Passive game vs. Approaching

Go crush life. Become more attractive. If you see a girl that's interesting go say hi to her. Be a social guy. Do both. The passive game, as you call it, can come off as being risk- averse. And on the opposite end of the spectrum, approaching can come off as try hard. There are pros and cons to both. I would say there is a bit more Pros to "passive game" than active game.

At the end of the day who cares. Just don't get stuck in your head. Godspeed mate!

"active game" is basically what the RP terms as going out and actively pursuing women. Chatting them up, asking them out, going on dates, sex, etc.
"passive game" is basically what the RP terms as life improvements that increase attractiveness so that women are more receptive to your approaches or want to be with you despite or in conjunction with active game.

Should help you understand it better.

In reality, "passive game" is vastly more important and effective for your mission for God than any of the active game stuff aside from practicing to be a good communicator, social skills, and charisma.

I dislike the term passive game. You have to actively fix the areas of your life that need fixing. Don't have a girlfriend? Go on lots of dates (hint: it's not them, it's you that is the problem). Passive game implies waiting passively for stuff to happen to you. That's a losing strategy.

Take the bull by the horns. Go make things happen.

Assuming you're single, yes, approaching women is still a good idea. The reason for the approach is what changes the value from a positive to a negative. If you approach because you have these fantasies of getting married and having lots of sex, you're going at it the wrong way and ultimately doing yourself more harm than good. If you're approaching because you've got important crap going on in your life and you need help getting it all done, then you're doing it properly.

As /u/Deep_Strength said, the passive things you do to improve your life are going to increase the quality of the person you invite to help you. The active part of it is actually inviting her to help you. The passive aspects are worthless if they don't become active at some point - but make sure that your active mentality is always mission-focused, not tied up in the notion that you want to get married just because it's "the thing to do" or because you think it's going to make your life full of all kinds of joy just by owning a ring. If you're using game (passive or active) to fulfill blue pill fantasies, you're still blue pill. I'm not even convinced that "purple" even exists at all, though I still use the term from time to time as a matter of convenience.

So, as Deep alluded to, passive "game" is self-optimization toward your mission. God called you to make disciples. You can be mildly effective with mild stats. An obese guy who's addicted to video games and still lives with his mom because he has no job - he might be able to make a disciple here or there, but it's going to be super hard for him to gain much traction for Christ within his sphere of influence because he really has no sphere of influence. Get him a 6-pack, a decent wardrobe, charming personality, social status with a large network of friends and acquaintances, etc. and suddenly everyone wants to be discipled by him and people will hang on his every word. That includes women. And the larger a guy's following becomes, the more he's going to need help managing everything going on in his life - and what better way to get that help than to start asking hot, single women to do things with and for him? And the more helpful they are, the better a candidate they become for marriage.
