Hello RPCs, my question is about conflict I have found throughout most my life, I expect arising from a deep & subconscious fear I developed and believed as a kid that I was in constant danger as a result of my father not being around.

I am not sure exactly what it is I want to ask so I'll recount an experience that drives me to ask for help.

Not too long ago, I was contacted by a young woman who worked with and introduced me to a group of people with whom I now work. During this meeting phase, I did not really feel any real unease until one person, a young male, approached me in a very aggressive manner. I understand that this was just my interpretation of the event but it almost seemed as if he had some longing for the woman who had introduced me to the group and was feeling a bit of jealousy.

After making an inquiry to another member who seemed more genuine about whether I had walked into a car-sales-lot so to speak. I ignored the situation for the most part until recently when I noticed another young male, most likely the younger brother of the former, staring in my direction intensely. I looked back but continued with my work when I noticed this, not wanting to give the situation any energy but I am curious about the deeper implication that others might be seeing.

As I've mentioned before and above, I did not grow up with my father and that this put me in a tough spot in the sense that I did/do not yet trust easily. This, I realize, had a deep effect on my life in the form of short and unsatisfying relationships due to a general unease usually in myself. I also get a sense that I am very honed into what I believe to be any signs of aggression/danger, either actual danger or emotional and the like. This has probably been the case for as long as I can remember, yet I cannot really find myself stepping outside of it easily.

I also believe that the perceived aggression, which again I am only sensing from one, maybe two, people out of hundreds, may be tied to my own belief that I understand a good deal of the underlying concepts of out business venture so as a new member, it may seem intimidating. That is absolutely an interpretation and I don't see how to avoid the situation, if at all possible.

I imagine I would need to focus even more deeply on my connection to God in order to step out of whatever worldly drama is itching to build up and I realize that this is all a series of beliefs I am holding without being aware. Any specific direction I should take my inquiry, or would it just be better to not focus on these things at all?
