The general "he's a stud, she's a slut" saying describes how society treats men and women differently for sleeping around. Men are perceived as cool and successful, while women are perceived as loose and tramps.

But I'm wondering how this effects the psychology of men and women. I know when a man scores with a new woman, it's a pretty nice ego boost. You feel a "victory" when you convince her to spread her legs, and let you use her precious hole.

But I wonder how sleeping around effects the psychology of women. There are two competing theories:

1) She is empowered because she feels validation. She likes feeling desired, and sleeping around gives her a sense of power because of all the men she is able to claim.

2) She feels destroyed. Her sexual purity is a non-renewable resource, and every time she spreads for a new guy, it's like she's "giving up" a piece of herself to him. This view sees penetration as a form of power, where the girl is an object who is being "used up" by each man who fucks her.

Which theory best applies to women? Or is it a combination, or does it depend on the type of woman (slut vs good girl, etc).
