Social circle game seems to work the best in my opinion. Just about every girl I’ve been with has had mutual friends with me. It just adds a degree of trust that you won’t be able to get with a cold approach and that will arguably lead to an easier lay.

The best way is have game wherever you go. Cold approach, OLD, social circle game, hobbies, school. Always be gaming. Don't stick to one avenue.
